Duration 11:00–14:00

Comments Pick up or return transfers from your hotel. We provide warm thermal suits, mittens, hats and winter boots it's recommended to also wear warm woolen or fleece underwear Lunch is included in the tour price.

After a brief and precise introduction on operating a dogsled, we go into the dog yard, where you will be greeted by many happy Alaskan huskies. Every dog has its own kennel with its name on it. You will be given a card with the name of the dogs that are going on the trip, and YOU get to find the dogs and (with our help if needed) harness the teams to the sleds. We use a big sled to carry the group; but we also have special children’s sleds which older kids can drive if they prefer. When everything is ready, we open the gate and set off into the peace and tranquility of the forest, marveling at the majestic nature as we are pulled along by our enthusiastic dogs. After around half an hour’s dog sledding, we will arrive at one of Alta’s best tobogganing slopes. We tie up the dogs and head for some action on the hill. Snow and fresh air make you hungry, so we serve a delicious homemade lunch around an open fire. After lunch, we drive the dog teams back to the dog yard, remove the harnesses and see who remembers which dog lives in which kennel!

Take some time and pictures by the big iron globe while you're there, to prove you made it so far north! Look out over the cliff and toward Svalbard and the North Pole.
