CLUB NEWSLETTER

Introduction Welcome to the first edition of Grafton City Soccer Club’s newsletter. We hope that you find it informative and interesting. If you are new to our club in 2019 or are returning from last year welcome to Grafton City Soccer Club. We hope that you all enjoy this season. Please remember that our club does not measure our success by the games that we win. We measure our success by the smiles on the faces of our players and their sportsmanship on the field. Please encourage our players to try their best and never give up. As our club is run by volunteers please remember to consider your behaviour towards our club officials and our team coaches. The club encourages you to speak with the coaches when you see anything that concerns you. However, we ask that you do this at an appropriate time and place to ensure that they can engage with you. Normally this would be before and after training and games. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our club sponsors. Without these businesses supporting our club our fees would be considerably higher. We ask that when you are doing you business around town please give these sponsors a chance to serve you. Also mention them to family and friends. We are currently looking for people to assist the club with:  

MiniRoos Coordinator Club Events Organization

If you can assist us with these functions or would like more information, please contact any of the club committee members.

Club Committee Messages Treasurer / Registrar 2019 will see a few changes coming our way. #1 Registration system - This has been changed. We are all on a learning curve. We have most the important system functions understood. If you have any question regarding registration, please contact the club registrar at registrar@graftoncitysoccerclub.com.au #2 Volunteer Registration – It is becoming increasing important that all our club volunteers register themselves. Registration is done in the same system as the player registration. All Volunteer registration is free of charge. Being registered ensures that the limited insurance coverage is available should the unlikely accident occur. The club is also asking that all of our volunteers obtain a Working With Children Check. As a volunteer this check is free of charge. Apply online at www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-working-childrencheck #3 Club Square – Our club can now accept most major card payment methods. The Square account also allows the club a simplified method of issuing receipts for payments. The club now can track stock levels on critical items. The square is mobile meaning we can take your payments directly at Rushforth Park and at registration days at shopping world. For more information regarding the Square please have a look at www.square.com/au/ #4 Club Fees 2019 – Please note that payment of club fees is required by 31st March 2019. After this date unpaid players will not be permitted on the playing field. Payment plans are available on request please contact the club Treasurer to make the required arrangements at treasurer@graftoncityclub.com.au

Secretary We are still looking for additional help with our raffle commitments at the Village Green Jackpot night. These nights generate a significant income for the club. Last season alone our share of proceeds from the Jackpot night was $3,000. It is important that we continue support the jackpot nights. Please check the club calendar for upcoming dates. If you have any question regarding this, please contact me at secretary@graftoncitysoccerclub.com.au
