Norton Way Employee wins Motor Trader Rising Stars 2018 Award
The fourth annual Motor Trader Rising Star Awards took place on 20th April 2018, sponsored by Northridge Finance. The awards have been created to highlight the next generation of car retailing leaders, people who are regarded as outstanding talents, have great business acumen and are seen as an inspiration to their peers. The awards were open to anyone who had joined the industry in the last 5 years. Norton Way’s Corporate Trainee Account Manager, Ellie Bull, was named as one of the seven winners. Ellie’s win was credited to her work and responsibility in checking and challenging our CSI (Customer Satisfaction index) scores with some of our major accounts, CSI is a very important part of the Corporate Department’s
performance and success. During this process Ellie listened well to the requirements and subsequently handled the work professionally and effectively resulting in strong scores for our performance with major customers (including the UK’s two largest Fleet Companies). Thanks to Ellie challenging and keeping track of our scores, our average customer satisfaction score in 2017 was 99.6%. SUBTLE FACELIFT AND NEW INTERIOR MAZDA CX-3 RECEIVES A SUBTLE FACELIFT AND NEW INTERIOR FOR 2019 DISCOVER MORE HERE
18
NORTON WAY CORPORATE • ISSUE 44 • MAY 2018
The redesigned 2019 Mazda CX-3 crossover made an appearance at the 2018 New York International Auto Show. The new model isn't being described as all-new because the changes to the exterior are subtle tweaks. Mazda's team of designers did some customer research asking them how they would make the luxurious-yetaffordable crossover even better for the 2019 model year, eventually settling on improved engine performance and ride comfort. It's subtle, but the new CX-3 receives a facelift and other exterior improvements, benefiting from Mazda's simplistic KODO design language. A larger grille and restyled LED tail lights are the biggest changes, coupled with a new set of 18-inch wheels. Piano black trim accents now adorn the side pillars and fog light surrounds. Soul Red Crystal Metallic, arguably the prettiest colour on Mazda's paint palette, can now be applied to the CX-3. Mazda was able to coax a couple extra horsepower out of the CX-3's 2.0-liter fourcylinder SKYACTIV-G engine, which now puts out 148 horsepower and matching 148 pound-feet of torque. On the handling front, the CX-3 makes use of Mazda's innovative G-Vectoring Control and a re-tuned suspension system for a smoother but more exciting ride.
The easiest way to differentiate between the 2018 CX-3 and the new model is by stepping inside the 2019's redesigned interior . Much to the dismay of handbrake turn lovers, the CX-3 now gets an electronic parking brake, which allowed the designers to give the center console a makeover. Therefore Mazda has moved around the car's storage pockets and cupholders. The front seats are padded with better materials that allow for a more comfortable ride. The higher-trim CX-3s will also come equipped with full leather upholstery. We are currently still awaiting full details regarding pricing and additional features.
Great news for business customers The SKYACTIV-D Diesel engine has been modified to meet the strict Euro 6D-temp emission standards for the new CX-3. The upgrade also helped achieve even lower NOx raw emissions. The petrol SKYACTIV-G engines were also updated to further reduce the particulate emissions ensuring it also meets the Euro 6d-temp standard.

We await to hear the new fuel economy and CO2 figures from the new model.
