LOROS Christmas CD Hi there, I am writing to you as Chair of Christchurch Theatre Club. We lost our choreographer Ruby (Ruth Chadwick)to the dreaded cancer last year when sadly she lost her battle and spent her last few days in Loros. As you probably already know Loros and all of the staff are truly brilliant, they need all the help and support that we can give them. So we have made a Christmas CD, professionally recorded and all proceeds will go directly to Loros. We, Christchurch, are performing White Christmas at the Loughborough Town Hall in January 2015 and wanted to donate as much money to Loros in Ruth’s memory we have raffle tickets with some amazing prizes to be won and we obviously are launching the CD and hoping to raise 100’s of pounds in honour of this fantastic lady. Loros are also selling the CD in their shops and you can also download online.

Gritters geared up for cold snap Leicestershire’s gritters have hit the roads for the first time this year as November’s cold snap bites.

Your Local cannot be held responsible for the information disclosed by advertisements, all of which are accepted in good faith.

Seventeen gritters treated key routes last week as temperatures dipped below zero.

Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of information in this magazine, but no liability can be accepted for loss or inconvenience caused as a result of error or omission.

With 18,000 tonnes of grit in stock and the fleet of gritters on standby 24/7, the County Council is ready to keep the roads moving during wintry weather. Residents are urged to prepare too by using an online map to check out gritting routes, listening to travel advice on local radio, and allowing plenty of time for journeys.

Cloudy2Clear Windows – Service With A Smile!

It’s been a crazy few months for Cloudy2Clear Windows. The company which specialises in repairing windows which are steamed up, broken or damaged by replacing the panes – not the frames has grown rapidly as homeowners take advantage of their services. Managing Director Michael Parr feels that it’s all about service. ‘Our product is simple. If your double glazing is misted up we can replace

the glass at a fraction of the cost of a new window, in any type of frame, and with a new 5 year guarantee. But it’s not just about saving people money, although that obviously helps. Many tradespeople have struggled since last year and I honestly feel that during the good times a minority perhaps didn’t focus on customer care as much as they should have done. We make sure we turn up when we say we will, do the job the customer

requires and leave their house as clean as a whistle. I often get comments back from customers on how they really didn’t expect that sort of service which, in a way, is very sad for the service industry as a whole.’ Cloudy2Clear service the Ratby, Kirby Muxloe & Leicester Forest East areas and Michael is finding that his approach is a major factor in his success. ‘The truth is that it’s not just the personal satisfaction

that I get from doing a good job but also it makes good business sense. I get a huge amount of business from friends and family of people I’ve done work for, which just goes to show how much a little bit of effort is appreciated.’ So, if your windows are steamed up, broken or damaged give Michael a call for a free quotation on 0800 61 21 118 and he’ll be happy to help!

School place plan set to be approved Creating an extra 500 primary school places is the key focus of a new school place strategy. The plan, set to be agreed next week, spells out how Leicestershire County Council will spend £54 million of government money on school places up until 2017. It includes creating extra primary school spaces in hot spots across the county including Braunstone Town and Leicester Forest East, and Hinckley areas.

Borough Councillors Report Cllr Ozzy O’Shea Tel 0116 2394336 or 07808585825 Email ozzyoshea@hotmail.com

Planning Application by Cawrey Homes Ltd. for 158 houses in open countryside south of Markfield Rd, Ratby. REFUSED The above planning application by Cawrey Homes Ltd to build 158 extra homes in the village along Markfield Rd part of the Burroughs was heard by the Borough Councils Planning Committee on the 11th November 2014. This application had been recommended for permission despite the vast local opposition from residents who had sent in written objections to this most unpopular application. Local resident Krystina Mason spoke passionately out against the application on behalf of local residents. Members raised concerns with regard to the entrance the build up of traffic in the village, one even commented Ratby was worse to get through than his own Burbage ward at certain times of the day. Concern was also raised in relation to the lack of school places and the fact that Ratby Primary school could not be extended and children would have to attend primary schools in Groby all of which are oversubscribed and only one of which could be possibly extended. We put forward a motion to refuse the application on sustainability grounds which was overwhelmingly supported by the committee members resulting in the application being refused. The Planning Committee members on their sight visit commented on the dangerous bend and were advised not to go onto Markfield Road as it was too dangerous. That said we fully expect Cawrey Ltd to appeal.

Domestic Abuse Anyone experiencing domestic abuse is advised ‘don’t suffer in silence’ according to the Borough Council’s latest campaign. The “Don’t Suffer in Silence” campaign aims to raise awareness of different types of abuse and to encourage victims of domestic abuse to seek help. Abuse can take a number of forms and psychological and emotional abuse can be as significant as physical violence and often takes longer to identify and to work through. The campaign aims to make people aware that domestic abuse is about control. This could include instances of intimidation, isolation, depriving victims of their financial independence or material possessions and regulating their everyday behaviour. Ozzy a retired Police Officer says that “Domestic abuse is totally unacceptable it can be experienced by anyone. It is vital that anyone affected by domestic abuse know how to seek help. There are specialist services that can provide support to them. There is no need to suffer in silence." The Borough Council’s Domestic Abuse Outreach Service offers free, confidential advice, advocacy, emotional and practical support, in safe venues across the borough for victims of abuse. Anyone who feels they are in an abusive relationship can access free confidential advice via the Borough Council’s Domestic Abuse Outreach service by calling 01455 255832 or 07966 202181. Appointments can be arranged or a drop in session is held at The Hinckley Hub on Rugby Road on Wednesdays from 10am to 12noon. The service has female and male support workers who can assist. You

can also contact the police on 0116 2222222 that have specialist officers that are trained in this area.

Dog Fouling. Last Month we highlighted the problem with Dog Fouling in the village since last month’s report we have been passed information about the large amount of Dog mess that is being left and not picked up on the Ivanhoe Trail between the Railway Public House and Taverner Drive which has recently had a tarmac surface installed to make access better. This stretch of path is a disgrace I have passed the information to our Neighbourhood Wardens to now monitor and see if we can locate and prosecute the offenders. There is a Dog Bin at each end of this path one next to the Railway PH the other on Taverner Drive. Both Ozzy and Chris would like to wish all our residents a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas and a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year Once again, we would like to take this opportunity to thank residents for their continued support and remind you we are only a phone call away.

KIRBY MUXLOE PARISH COUNCIL The transformation of Kirby Muxloe Parish Council back to a normally functioning organization is nearly complete; the final stage will be the election of a new Council next May. We urge the residents of Kirby Muxloe to consider putting themselves forward for election. The Parish Council has not had a fully contested election for nearly thirty years! The new Clerk to the Parish Council, Beverley Greenwood, has established a rigorous, regular, monthly meetings schedule for the full complement of committees. Parishioners are very welcome to attend. Good news from the Parish Council this month is that the extension to the Village Hall will be under way next year. The Parish Council is making a financial contribution to this under Section 19(d) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act of 1976. The Parish Council's aim is to work more closely with residents, businesses and community groups and to engage with as many people as possible who want to participate in decisionmaking, the monitoring of services and planning for the future. Through the use of a wide range of approaches to public involvement and community engagement, we are seeking to encourage the involvement of residents, to capture their views and learn of their concerns, and use those views as an integral part of the decision-making process As an example of this approach, the Residents' Tennis Action Group is functioning well and liaising with the Parish Council through the attendance of a councillor at their meetings to renovate and improve the tennis courts. The Group is anxious that anyone who has a view on this matter, or who is willing to offer help, should contact them on kirbytennis@gmail.com. Similarly, there is close co-operation between the Football Club and the Council acting in its role as Trustee of the

recreation ground aimed at progressing the disposal of land to accommodate a community facility and changing rooms, subject to public consultation which will be advertised within the village in the next few weeks. Blaby District Council has granted planning permission for an outdoor classroom for Kirby Muxloe Primary School. As parents and children are aware, the School is under considerable space pressure and it is an Ofsted requirement that it has an outdoor classroom. It is important that the Parish Council supports the School and, given that the classroom would need to be erected on Trust land, the Council, in its role as Trustee, has agreed to disposal of the land subject to public consultation as required by the Charity Commission. Matched funding has been offered by Blaby District Council towards the cost of new notice boards around the village. Residents will be aware that the current notice boards are not fit for purpose. A new glazed board will be placed outside the Parish Council office and several boards will be replaced with boards of much better quality, subject to funds being available. There is a real problem with dog fouling in the cemetery - this is particularly disrespectful. The Council has proposed a Dogs on Leads Control Order for the cemetery grounds which include the entrance, the Rose Garden and the surrounding Parish Council-owned allotments. This of course will be subject to public consultation in due course, and the necessary procedures will be followed in respect of making an Order. In the meantime, the Parish Council urges those visiting the cemetery with dogs to make sure that their dogs are kept on leads and that they clear up after their dogs when necessary.

More parking problems have been drawn to our attention about the junction of Court Close, The Keep and Oakcroft Avenue, a particular problem at the beginning and end of the school day. There is considerable congestion and cars park on or very near the junction and frequently on the pavements. Sight lines are blocked for cars trying to get out, and passageways for parents with pushchairs and for people using wheelchairs or mobility scooters are obstructed. There is an additional danger to children running out between cars. Again, we appeal to residents to exercise care, courtesy and consideration for others. A reminder to all residents that Taylor Wimpey have resubmitted their planning application to develop the land behind Barry Close. The original submission was refused earlier this year. The new submission is the same as the previous, refused, planning application with very minor changes. The application will be considered on Thursday 11th December 2014, starting at 4.30pm in the Council Chamber at Blaby District Council in Narborough. Again, we urge as many residents as possible to attend. The presence of large resident numbers really did make a difference at the previous hearing. As we enter the run-up to Christmas, the tree lights by the Parish Council offices will be switched on giving the usual stunning display, compensating to some degree for the absence of the lamp post lights. The traditional Carols Round the Tree event will take place in the Village Hall on Friday 12th December at 7.00pm, with proceeds going this year to LOROS. We would like to wish all Kirby Muxloe residents the happiest of Christmases and the most peaceful of New Years in 2015/16.

Health Matters in yourLOCAL... Making Sure a Merry Christmas Leads To a Happy and Healthy New Year Hi and welcome to my last edition of Health Matters, due to family and business commitments, sadly this will be my last Health Matters article. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the readers and the editor of Your Local magazine for giving me the chance to write about health topics that may benefit the community.

During Christmas most people over indulge and studies by the British Nutrition Foundation have shown that people on average gain 5lb (2kg) in the four-week Christmas period. This extra weight gain can be hard to lose, but a few healthy habits such as a brisk walk and snacking on fruit and vegetables rather than chocolate can help reduce this weight gain.

For my last article I thought it would be appropriate to write about the festive season. As party season is drawing near, it comes with a whole host of health problems. Everyone even those disciplined throughout the year make the most of the festive season, with all the eating, drinking and merrymaking. This can take its toll especially with people with chronic medical conditions.

Another common ailment during the festive season is headaches, normally bought on by poor posture, stress, lack of sleep, bright flickering lights and specific foods (e.g. Chocolate, cheese and citrus fruit). Headaches are an inconvenience at any time and sufferers normally want immediate relief. There are a range of effective pain killers available depending on the type of headache. There are also simple and natural measures which are also effective such as menthol balms, sticks or strips applied directly to the forehead. Other things to try include having a warm bath, massaging the neck and shoulders and sitting or lying in a darkened room.

The first to suffer tend to be those prone to digestive or stress-related conditions. • People prone to digestive conditions may experience bouts of diarrhoea, indigestion, heart burn, bloating, nausea and vomiting. This can be due to eating spicy foods, eating big heavy meals, eating too fast and drinking excess alcohol. • Diarrhoea can lead to dehydration, so you should drink plenty of fluids (small, frequent sips of water), sometimes oral rehydration sachets may also be necessary.

etc. can take its toll on an individual’s overall health. There is evidence that Christmas puts a strain on families. Statistics show that January is the busiest month for divorce lawyers. Simple measures can reduce the stress and anxiety, such as making time for yourself to relax, doing plenty of exercise as this releases endorphins in the brain and can be uplifting, and having early nights when possible. If there is still a persistent lack of energy, iron supplements or a product like Metatone Tonic may help.

Loperamide (available without prescription) is the main medicine used to treat diarrhoea as it has been shown to be effective and has few side effects. Indigestion and heartburn can be treated using antacids such as Rennie and Gaviscon. There are also products available to treat bloating and nausea, but speak to one of our highly trained pharmacist first before purchasing them as they are not suitable for everyone. People prone to stress and anxiety can experience a variety of symptoms. The stress and anxiety bought on by an overload of guests, over-excited children, extra expenses

The main complaint after excessive alcohol consumption is the Hangover. After a night of heavy drinking, the symptoms most people are all too familiar with, can include, headaches, sickness, dizziness, dehydration, diarrhoea and tiredness. If you do experience a hangover, you can take pain killers, antacids, rehydration sachets and drink plenty of water. Eating bananas and kiwis are good as they have high source of potassium which counteracts the potassium lost from the diuretic effect of alcohol. Things to avoid are caffeine containing drinks (Tea, Coffee, Energy Drinks etc.) because although they give you a temporary lift, they may also cause further dehydration. All of the above symptoms are readily treatable from the pharmacy and don’t need a visit to the GP. All you need is a well-stocked medicines cabinet to ensure you do not suffer throughout the festive period.

County Councillors Report Ratby and Groby Division County - Councillor Ozzy O’Shea Tel: 0116 2394 336 or 07808 585 825 - Email ozzyoshea@hotmail.com I am keen to hear residents' views. Are residents happy to pay a council tax increase of up to 2% or do you support a further freeze?

LED Street Lighting. Libraries The County Councils Cabinet has now approved the new tapering packages that are on offer to Community Groups wishing to run their own Local Library. I would urge any interested residents or groups to contact the Parish and share your idea’s and work with the Parish Council as I know your Parish Council is actively looking at ways it can help run the Library. I know of one group in the village actively looking at running the Library there may be others who wish to come forward please contact me or the Parish Council if you do. I want residents to know that I am working with both Ratby and Groby Parish Councils. As your County Councillor I will do everything I can within my power to protect the library services for residents. The County Council is now listening to the various groups across the county wishing to put their business cases forward the officer to contact is Nigel Thomas head of Library services at County Hall. Residents are also welcome to contact me.

Fair Funding for the Residents of Leicestershire. Leicestershire County Council is the worst funded UK council and we are leading the charge to get the Govt to agree to a fairer funding model for local government and Leicestershire in particular. We are in the process of setting the Budget for 2015/16 and

Many of you will have seen the article in the Leicester Mercury and seen the local Midlands news on the BBC which featured Cllr Peter Osborne Cabinet Lead member on Highways talking about the Councils wish to move to LED lighting. The Cabinet decided to move to a centrally managed control system, as well as move to LED lighting for all LCC maintained streetlights (66,000) subject to the business case. An outlay of £25M from the reserves is a serious investment in times of austerity. However the payback is between 8-12 years and savings generated will be in the region of £1.6M per year. Doing nothing to the streetlights would cost £2.9M per annum. I support moving to LED lighting as the Council would be achieving the savings necessary whilst reducing energy consumption and thus carbon emissions.

Parking on Grass Verges. Please can I ask residents to refrain from parking on grass verges? This is a constant complaint made to me and I appreciate some people have problems parking. However some people prefer parking on the grass verges rather than the road. The winter is now upon us and the wet weather just leaves the verges a muddy mess after cars constantly drive on them. Your co-operation would be appreciated.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is currently Consulting on their Operational Provision. The Consultation titled Have Your Say is asking for the public’s views they have to make a total of £7 million savings by 2019.2020 and they are asking the public for their views on several proposals. I would urge residents to take part in this very important consultation which is open until 31st December 2014. You can respond by going to their dedicated Website at: www.leicestershire-fire.gov.uk/irmp If you prefer to submit your responses via a printed questionnaire, please request a copy from the information management team by phoning 0116 2872241 I would like to take this opportunity to thank residents for your continued support and wish you all a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas and a very Happy Healthy and prosperous New Year. Remember I am only an Email or a phone call away.

Merry Christmas Ozyy O’Shea

RATBY PARISH COUNCIL RATBY LIBRARY - SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT! The Parish Council read with interest the article posted in last month’s edition of the Local’ regarding the Library and is somewhat bewildered and disappointed. This article seems to suggest that the Library Group is the only organisation concerned about maintaining the Library service to Ratby! Just to set the record straight, the Parish Council has been working with Leicestershire County Council for approximately 18 months now, in order to preserve the Library facility and at the same time, move the Parish Council office into that building! The Parish Council is still working towards maintaining the Library service and will do everything within its power to keep it. It is prepared to listen to any group and interested parties who feel the same and to work with them. On reflection, perhaps the Council should have informed residents of its actions. However, due to the ever-changing goalposts set by the County Council it could have lead to contradiction and confusion. Rest assured the Parish Council, supported by the Borough and County Councillors is doing its utmost to retain the Library in Ratby. As you will be aware, the Council has also asked for volunteers to assist in running the Library, in order for this to remain open and is most grateful for those people who have volunteered. You have not been forgotten but nothing further can be done until the County Council has made its final decision regarding Libraries.

DEFIBRILLATOR On another note, you may have noticed that the village now has a Defibrillator device which is situated outside No.13 Station Road. This has been provided with the help of Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council’s Parish & Community Initiative Fund, the Parish Council providing the rest of the monies to fund this emergency equipment. In an emergency, a 999 call should be made requesting the Ambulance Service, as they are responsible for contacting either the Rapid Response Team or the Paramedics.

CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS After the initial Christmas decoration lighting provided in the village last year, the Council has extended the area which now goes along to Dane Hill. Although there was minor criticism last year regarding the artificial tree, the majority of you thought the decorations were a big improvement to the lone Christmas tree previously provided.

THE PARISH COUNCIL WISHES ALL RESIDENTS A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

Recently, the Year 6 children from Ratby Primary School went on an amazing school trip to The Warning Zone in Leicester. Many of the children learnt some new and interesting things that they didn’t already know about managing risk, keeping safe and avoiding dangerous situations. Here are some of the basic things they learned:

Do not enter a building site, they can be very dangerous – there are lots of potential disasters lurking there.

• If a fire occurs, call for help, and if smoke, crawl to the nearest there’s

invited to show their skills in enterprise. The budding Children were entrepreneurs of the school their cakes. As you can the hall at playtime had selling imagine, created own stalls the safe exit. market atmosphere of a bustling place. The Warning Zone is a place for young about children/adults to come to learn

how important is to remain safe and out ofto harm’s way. Giving people a chance take a look at how dangerous some things can be. After each situation, the children were told to decide what risks were being taken and how dangerous they were. A child, Millie age 10, quoted, “The Warning Zone is a fun way to learn all about dangerous things and how to avoid them, and it was a great experience!” Another child (Eleni, aged 10), when asked about their favourite part of the Warning Zone, commented, “My favourite part was when we were in a house on fire, as it showed me how careful you have to be when using a the kitchen appliance.” As you can see, a very children found the Warning Zone enjoyable experience.

Throughout the school other activities taking place included a onesie fashion show in the were Year 1 Milky Way class and ‘Design Your Own Superheroes Pants!’ in the Year 5 Venus class. We are thrilled to report that we raised £484.64 for Children in Need. A huge thank you to

everyone who took part and helped to make the day a great success. The things that the children learned of about only presented a small portion the risks that they need to be aware of serious in order to prevent potentially consequences and dangerous situations. So, all you have to do now is…

Have fun and stay safe!

ews.... Intro Film Festival On the 10th November, Year 4 attended the ‘Intro Film Festival’ showing of ‘Earth to Echo’ at the Showcase Cinema in Leicester. They had a great time and really enjoyed seeing the film on the huge screen. Surprisingly, the seating was very luxurious and the seats could be adjusted to make you more comfortable! Afterwards, the Jupiter and Mars Class had great discussions about the issues within the film and how it dealt with friendships and the advances in technology. This was followed by a film review writing session in the afternoon which had excellent outcomes. Here is a written review by Katy in the Jupiter class: Earth to Echo Film Review! Join us on an exciting adventure about four kids who meet a floating robot on a mysterious mission. This film is a delight to watch and suitable for all ages. If you’ve seen ET, you will enjoy this film. After watching Earth to Echo, it made me think about lots of other adventure films and also about the importance of friendship. My favourite part was when the three boys met a girl and she followed them. If I could describe it in four words they would be exciting, mysterious, hilarious and unbelievable. I would recommend this film to everyone.

Ratby Primary School’s Remembrance Service On the afternoon of 11th November, Ratby Primary School came together for a Remembrance Assembly. Years 5 and 6 spoke to us about the importance of remembering. Then we watched video clips and thought about the significance of the Year 2014 as it is exactly 100 years since the beginning of World War 1. We were reminded about Armistice Day and discussed why we pause and reflect at this time of year. Reverend Peter shared with us Ratby’s local connections to World War 1 and explained how the church will be honouring these people. He left us with the thought 'For your tomorrow, we gave our today.'

FILMREVIEW Paddington

Paddington bear has long had a passion for everything British, despite living deep in the depths of the Peruvian jungle with his Aunt Lucy. When their home is suddenly wiped out by a devastating earthquake, Paddington’s Aunt decides to ship him off to London – somewhere an English explorer she once met had always recommended as a place of opportunity. When Paddington finally arrives at a London train station, lost and alone, with only a briefcase and a label round his neck which reads ‘Please look after this bear. Thank you’, he begins to wonder if England is such a great place after all. The loveable bear’s luck soon changes, when he is taken in by the Brown family, who promise him a temporary home. Before long, they begin to realise living with a bear doesn’t come without its problems, and trouble and chaos ensues. Paddington decides to seek out the British explorer who his dear Aunt was so fond of, but first he must contend with an evil taxidermist who has sinister plans for Paddington’s future.

The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 Katniss Everdeen managed what most considered impossible; winning the Hunger Games twice, becoming a reluctant hero to the people of Panem as a result. With District 12 now nothing but a charred memory, she must dust herself off and prepare to fight once more as the Capitol seeks revenge. Blaming Katniss for the ensuing unrest, Capitol also vows to see that her family, friends and people of District 12 are sufficiently punished too. President Coin leads the charge for the brave heroine to gather up her like-minded comrades and prepare for battle.

Friends of Chernobyl’s Children Update...

Volunteers needed for dementia befriending service in Leicester

Alzheimer's Society is looking for new volunteers in Leicester to give a few hours each week to meet up with someone with dementia who has similar interests.

Whilst we are busy organising Christmas, choosing the perfect gifts and filling our shopping trolleys sky high, we wonder how families in Belarus are preparing for the festive season.

In August of this year, we were hosts to a tiny seven year old girl who came to Leicestershire as part of a recuperative programme organised by local charity Friends of Chernobyl’s Children (West Leics). After four weeks sharing her bedroom, my nine year old daughter misses her and wonders what she is up to. But whereas my daughter created Belarussian “sister” version five of her Christmas list this week, little miss Belarus won’t have a list at all.

Suna Tilley, Befriending Manager for Alzheimer’s There is a high still level of poverty in her area, contaminated 28 years after the Society in Leicestershire and Rutland said: Chernobyl disaster. Her parents work hard to feed their five children, but the fridge is usually empty. We will snuggle up with the heating on this winter, but the temperature “Everyone needs a friend, yet 85 per cent of people can fall to minus 35 in this desolate area of Eastern Europe. Superheroes at South Charnwood for Children in Need South Charnwood High School raised £632.48 during a non-uniform day for Children in Need. Pupils were allowed to leave their school uniforms at home, in return for a £1, and come to school in casual clothing instead, preferably with a super-hero theme. Our picture shows staff and pupils dressed as superheroes in support of this worthy cause.

Domestic Abuse Sufferers Advised: Don’t Suffer in Silence ANYONE experiencing domestic abuse is advised ‘don’t suffer in silence’ according to the Borough Council’s latest campaign. During the campaign, posters detailing how to access support will be sent out to community groups, health services, businesses and educational establishments. The campaign will also use social media to spread the message.

Charity Whist Drives Charity Whist Drives are held on the first Thursday of every month at 7.30 p.m in the Rothley Centre, Mountsorrel Lane,Rothley. Admission £2.00. All players are welcome. Large free car park.

Chair of the Community Safety Partnership, Councillor David Bill, said: “Domestic abuse can be experienced by anyone. It is totally unacceptable and it is vital that people affected by domestic abuse know how to seek help so that specialist services can provide support to them. There is no need to suffer in silence.” The Borough Council’s Domestic Abuse Outreach Service offers free, confidential advice, advocacy, emotional and practical support, in safe venues across the borough for victims of abuse.
