Come see why this intimate and fun festival of classical music is one of the most popular festivals in the Western Cape.

Creation Wines With International Chardonnay Day coming up on 24 May the Creation team takes pleasure in celebrating their unique Chardonnay provenance. A provenance rooted in the ideal cool-climate terroir of the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge and also in the fact that Creation cellarmaster and viticulturist Jean-Claude (JC) Martin honed his skills on Chardonnay while establishing his career in Switzerland. Today Creation has no less than three artisanal Chardonnays in its portfolio. These wines are meticulously cultivated in the vineyard, gently handled in the cellar and widely acclaimed for reflecting the distinctive terroir. 25 to 27 May 2018 It’s that time of the year again to start planning your trip to Greyton and Genadendal to be part of a magical experience that comes around once a year - the 14th Classics for All Festival. The 2018 programme has a distinct local, as well as international, flavour. Acclaimed international pianist Spencer Myer and the Notre Dame Band from Indiana, USA give the festival an international flair. A sequel to the very popular Movie Classics; Chinese Clarinettist Junnan Sun playing Brahms with well-known cellist Pater Martens; a reworked classical presentation of the music of pop icon David Bowie; some tango with James Grace and classic fusion with Zamar, and a special concert for the kids, to name but a few. The undisputed highlight of our weekend will again be the very popular Gala Concert where famous Opera Arias are sung by soloists Cecilia Rangwanasha (winner of the 2018 Unisa International Singing Competition) and Selim Kagee (South Africa’s premier classical crossover artist) backed by the Cantique Chamber Choir and a group of instrumentalists - music that moves our audience to raptures and tears! SobAlert Preventing Alcohol damage and Hangovers

Effective Hangover Prevention Medication ~ SobAlert is a hangover-busting formula made from highly specialised, all natural ingredients which neutralizes the substances that cause hangovers. Sometimes we sip, sometimes we drink and sometimes we downright quaff. So, heartily enjoying life and all its abundance, I tried SobAlert on Saturday. I felt like the guy from “Limitless” Not in a “I am invincible” stupid way! In a “I am aware that Alcohol is a drug’ type of way! SobAlert really made a difference to how my body metabolised the the legal, deceptively socially acceptable poison and helped me to recuperate so much quicker! It is amazing! It is super effective and it is 100% harvested from Mother Nature!” The high quality raw ingredients of SobAlert come from the Cape Floral Kingdom. This is an area of over 55,000 square kilometer and although it is the smallest of the world’s 6 floral kingdoms, it is the most bio-diverse area on earth.

Sumaridge & the Grapevine The darling Holly Bellingham-Turner of Sumaridge is a self confessed bibliophile! Hence it is no coincidence that the inspiration behind the names of two of the newly launched Sumaridge lifestyle wines came from books. “Tara” from Travels on my Elephant by Mark Shand and “Bushell” from The Great Escaper by Simon Pearson. Read more in her delightful newsletter, the Grapevine.

Coastal Cleanups Antonio da Silva-Swart's passion lies with hiking the coast and organising cleanups along the Whale Coat coastline, either with school learners or volunteers from the area. On the first Saturday of each month, I hold a cleanup of the coast and collect the marine debris with Volunteers. The area gets decided after I have done a reconnaissance of the coast or one of my area specialists lets me know what it looks like in their area. The bags are sponsored by Plastics SA and I take the debris to Whale Coast Conservation Green House in Vermont, for analysing/counting and sorting. The results get emailed to Plastics SA for the annual international coastal cleanup day and yearly results. These results get sent to the International Coastal Cleanup Organisation for global reporting. This forthcoming Saturday, my friend and avid co-hiker; Michael Raimondo, will be taking volunteers from Vermont to Hawston on a stretch of 3.2km of coast to clean that part. They will meet at the fence at Brekvis Beach (border of Vermont and the Hoek-van-die-Berg reserve) at 8h30am and do a 2 hour cleanup. Volunteers can contact Antonio 0724624271 / Please read these articles for more information and inspiration. A man with a passion for cleaning up. Groep maak maandeliks strand skoon. Residents join in cleaning up our coast. Please read more about and support the coastline cleanups! It is fun and you will feel great about your Eco-respecting participation.
