Local Building Study

Page 1

Our Study In Year 3 we decided to look at the history and present day use of the Pingles Leisure Centre, mainly because we go there every Monday for swimming lessons. However, the building is also very modern and brightly coloured, making it very interesting to look at. We split up into different groups because we wanted to look at the history and present use of this popular building. Group 1 – studied the history of Pingles, included when it as built and modernised and what facilities it has. Group 2 – studied the differences in appearance between the ‘new’ building and the ‘old’ building. Group 3 – thought about what Pingles means to them. Group 4 - wrote captions to accompany pictures of the building.
