News letter

We are children of Primary School Class 5째 of Castell'Umberto in Sicily Messina. Europeans want to communicate with peers sending some news on our kitchen. Sicilian cuisine has ancient Picts, as were the secular rulers that followed left traces even in eating habits.

Tuna, swordfish, cod, seafood and many other kinds of fish are the basis of many Sicilian dishes.

Fundamental is the pasta. is the typical pasta with sardines with squid ink pasta or eggplant with the standard. Some say that the pasta was invented in Sicily, it would show that the word 'macaroni' comes to spot, which means to crush Sicilian, an action that takes place during the preparation of the dough.

Laughter is used to prepare typical rice croquettes.


Among the cheeses include Canestrato, assuming the typical decoration of baskets of rattan which is matured in the 'cheese', so called 'because the forms were tied in pairs and made riding a seasoned staff that supported both the ricotta.

Delicious are our desserts: ice cream, the famous ice. cassata, cannoli with ricotta cheese and fruits of Martorana (sugar and almond paste), modeled in a thousand, colorful and imaginative ways.
