Hear What Others Have to Say Here at NOWSonic Jobs, we don't expect you to take our word for it, hear what others have to say about being a NOWSonic Jobs Charter owner... Howard William, Charter Owner A business owner for more than 14 years and owner of four NOWSonic Jobs territories, Howard William have identified the key ingredients to success; sales, financial planning, marketing, effective talent acquisition, creativity and a tolerance for taking risks. "For me, I am competitive by nature and do not accept failure. I know the industry inside and out and understand the risks. I wake up every day with specific goals in mind." In addition to his years with NOWSonic Jobs, Howard spent several years working in a key leadership position while managing Branch Operations for a recruitment competitor. This, in effect, gave him the experience and knowledge of the "ins and outs" of managing the operations of his offices, hiring the right people, and ensuring his staff is all working towards one common goal - delivering the right people with the right skills for the right job. When asked what kind of advice he could give a new prospective Charter owner, he stated "understanding your skills and identifying your strengths and weaknesses. And for those areas where you have gaps, fill them in with others that have the expertise. Basically, don't leave any stone unturned." “Get the tools to do the job. In today’s time speed is everything an ATS system is what every HR recruiter needs to excel. As an independent business person Howard has worked hard to build his team. With minimal turnover throughout the years, it is obvious the common skill he seeks out in when hiring his staff is that they have warm, engaging personalities. Each and every one of them understands the importance of relationships and servicing their clients and temporaries. “Until now it was hard to keep up with all the paper resumes and application.” "Overall, NOWSonic Jobs has been a great business partner. The systems and Marketing support you get just can't be replicated without a lot of resources. In essence they are there when you need them. It takes the struggle out of figuring those things out so you can focus on your business," says William. "For me the satisfaction of being a business owner is immeasurable. The rewards from your personal efforts are clear and evident, and the pride you feel from growing a business cannot be matched when you are an employee of an organization," says William. Jeannette James, Charter Owner Going into year eight and with three locations, Jeannette James admits "It has been a real journey for me. I found that it is all about positioning yourself as the experts," she says. "I made a vow to myself to fly higher than anyone else and become the 13
eagle of the recruitment industry, help President Obama by recruiting 1 Million job seekers and re-train the financial workforce." As a business owner, James admits she wouldn't be where she is today without NOWSonic Jobs ATS system. "Without the support from the NOWSonic Jobs team, we wouldn't be where we are today. They have definitely supported me from the start. Even on the day we opened, they came and helped me cut the ribbon," James commented. "With NOWSonic Jobs, we get the systems, marketing support and we don't have to worry about paying hundreds of dollars posting jobs. This is huge when you are starting your business. Cash flow is important." The key to this business, she argues, is that a person must be entrepreneurial. They must really want to own their own business. "The benefits of becoming an independent entrepreneur are incredible. The most important aspects of it are that you develop deep, meaningful relationships with really great people." James commented that she finds some of her best candidates at the local colleges. "We hire them for internships, especially those majoring in business. They have the energy and they're professional. That is where we get our best candidates." “Sometimes 1000 resumes per week during career fairs. James commented that key to her success is that she always knows what is going on with her clients. Every day she is up against competitors and is continually thinking of new ideas for her clients. "My clients know that if they call us, they are going to get a quality person," says James. Testimony to this is that the community voted James' NOWSonic Jobs Charter business as "best agency" last year. When asked about her reward, she commented "I made a decision I was going to be successful with NOWSonic Jobs. And I am.", says James enthusiastically. Alex Napone, Charter Owner As a former retail clothing executive in New York, running his father's NOWSonic Jobs Charter was the last place he thought he'd end up. Only after hearing a news story that reported that the recruitment industry was the number one growth industry did he consider taking it over. Two years later, Alex Napone, NOWSonic Jobs Charter owner, now couldn't imagine being any place else. Upon taking over the business in 2006, Napone understood what it meant to be a temporary. He had spent his entire teenage and young adult life working as a temp. Whenever his father needed someone to fill in, he'd call in Alex to the rescue. "At that time I perceived the industry as being a necessary evil. Now, all that has changed. With NOWSonic Jobs Recruiting tools we are in complete control. We have 20 End Users License and operate in 10 Cities. Our career fair marketing methods net 5000 to 10,000 talent resumes. While there still are many that perceive this industry as a commodity business, I personally challenge myself to change their perception. Like many other key industries, our approach to business is creatively solving client issues. Finding companies that are good to us and that we can be good to in return. It's a mutual relationship," says Napone. 14
When asked what is the most challenging aspect of his business, his response was "understanding the financial side of the business. For me, it was critical that I surrounded myself with good financial people and coaches. My CPA is a key to my business," says Napone. And an ATS system that is user friendly that grows with your recruiting business. While not sucking you dry posting expensive advertisement for talent. Napone's family spent years creating an image in their local marketplace and creating "an experience" for the talent they hire and the clients they serve. "It's the experience that people remember and it's up to you to create that experience." Napone commented. Napone prides himself on making sure his talent know that NOWSonic Jobs ATS system is different, from the minute they walk in and apply, to making them totally confident in the assignments they are going on, to the time they come in for their check. "I believe that our talent deserves a fair and competitive wage. And if I have a client that doesn't agree with that, then I just walk away. I think the mistake that a lot of people make is that they don't put the pencil to the business. You have to find new business that is going to deliver the results. It has to be smart business. When an order comes in, what is the value of the order? Which ones can I fill? And which orders will generate the most return, and which business will be good for our temps to permanent talent. When you approach it this way, your no-show rates goes way down and your success rate goes way up. It's that simple," says Napone.

Our dedicated staff will help you decipher important federal and state tax programs. Under the mandatory State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) program, you'll be assigned a tax rate based on your office's unemployment claim history. We'll work together to keep that rate down, and NOWSonic Jobs will pursue invalid claims on your behalf.

Human Resources/Benefits NOWSonic Jobs has your associate employees covered. Additionally, you can opt to purchase health benefits for your internal employees through NOWSonic Job’s Benefits Program. Our group rates and centralized administration can save you both time and money.

Legal Legal Services
NOWSonic Job’s Legal and Human Resources Departments will advise you on issues involving the temporary workforce, including: wage and hour law; state and federal regulations; hiring practices; employment law; discrimination; sexual harassment; time card fraud; drug testing; permanent placement and employment agency licenses in states that require them; and more. NOWSonic Jobs will defend you and your temporary employees in civil lawsuits. If a claim is filed, our Legal Department will respond to the claim on behalf of the Company. While the legal assistance described here is provided to temporary employees, NOWSonic Job’s Legal Department does not provide these services to the Charterees own internal employees. Contract Processing
The Contract Processing Department reviews and processes all customer contracts in accordance with NOWSonic Jobs legal and business guidelines. This includes proposing equitable changes to terms and conditions based on Company policy and/or good business/legal sense. When appropriate, this department will confer with Risk Management, Legal and Senior Management regarding proposed terms and conditions that are outside of normal Company policy.
