An immediate and direct benefit for our students

Program and Campus Enhancements in 2021–2022

• Began the implementation of our multiyear Inclusivity and Multiculturalism plan, including a new Global Connections program in Lower School for exploration of multiple languages and cultures

• Offered more than 100 professional development hours to the faculty and staff

• Enhanced social and emotional learning in all divisions through the RULER program offered by the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence

• Purchased new classroom furniture in all divisions

• Upgraded our softball and baseball fields, facilities and equipment

• Continued to support the overall achievement and progress of all students through the Sandra F. Birdsong Center for Academic Excellence

• Renovated the Upper School weight room and fitness center to further support health and wellness initiatives

• Enhanced the stage in the cafeteria to further showcase the talent of our performing artists

• Made improvements to the Harriet C. Naismith Outdoor Classroom and Horton Pond to support outdoor learning opportunities for students

• Updated the landscaping around the Lower School carpool loop as well as the courtyard in the Upper School

Future Investing in the

Romola Egunjobi ’23

Over the past four years, NSA has become a special home to all my educational and extracurricular endeavors. I’ve truly enjoyed my time spent here and feel it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t send my thanks to the wonderful people that have helped and contributed behind the scenes, specifically, our wonderful donors. Thank you for helping to provide things my peers and I have heavily benefited from and enjoyed. Whether it be the trips I enjoy with my classmates, the equipment we use in our science classes or the many materials we’ve used for our beloved Saints Band, thank you for your support!

Violet Johnston ’23

As a military child, I struggled finding a place to call home. NSA filled this role and blessed me with a community I consider my family. Thanks to you, I have been given opportunities so many kids my age dream about – from pursuing visual arts to learning higher mathematics. I will forever be grateful for the warm smiles and support NSA provides. Being surrounded by compassionate peers and teachers who encourage me to succeed has helped me grow in ways I did not know possible.

I have attended NSA since kindergarten. I now realize how fortunate I am for my NSA experience. The rigorous academics and strong support system of faculty and staff have prepared me for a successful future in college and beyond. NSA has inspired me to be a better person and leader. Respecting others and doing the right thing even when no one is watching are tenets I will take with me everywhere. I am grateful for the generosity of donors that made this possible and will also allow NSA to provide an excellent education and experiences for generations of Saints to come.

Future Program and Campus Enhancements

• Inclusivity and multiculturalism as well as health and wellness initiatives

• Project Lead the Way and STEM course supplies

• New equipment and uniforms for our performing artists and athletic teams

• Financial aid/Tuition assistance

• Updates to the school’s master plan, including improving traffic flow on the Main Campus

• New track and improvements to the Arthur E. Jones Athletic Field

• Renovations to the Hawks Library and the Lower School Main Campus, including the amphitheater

• Enhancements to the acreage behind the Main Campus

• Addition of a gymnasium at the Harbour View Campus
