My friends birthday was today and she had her party at my house. The kids were in the pool, the adults were on the deck or in the house. The air was warm then suddenly storm clouds rolled in. The parents were frightened and ordered the kids out of the pool. We saw no reason to exit the pool so we protested... then lightning struck and the thunder roared. We got the clue to exit the pool. We ran

to the towels and started to dry off, the parents wanted us to be safe from anything, my mom being a science teacher she said we should go inside and to a windowless room in case of a tornado. Then we saw it, pool toys went flying in a funnel like fashion. It was small and not scary. We went inside to get in the downstairs bathroom. THE AFTERMATH

[3]

The next day I went to my friends house on the other side of the subdivision, on the way I saw a swing set spun around and crushed under the force. A baseball flew into someones window and a tree was damaged. We found our trampoline thrown over the fence and the trampoline bent up.

HURRICANE When me and my family were in florida we were in our hotel room when all-of a sudden it was raining. The rain got faster and faster.Since we were by the ocean we actually saw the water on the ocean swirling. It was the shape of an eyeball. Then the water hit the land and my mom freaked out and we got out of the hotel as quick as possible. When we got in the car the water was getting close to the car so my mom said STEP ON IT. My dad was driving so fast that he almost ran out of gas.The water was like a waterpark, it was crashing over the docks and the whole entire part of where we were at.And my dad drove away and the water stopped and my mom almost had a heart attack and me [4] and my family was happy this was over.

It was there forth of july I could almost that the hot dogs and hamburgers.I was sweating a lot so I jumped into the pool. it was very cold. The clouds started to roll over in a matter minutes a sever thunder storm warning came on over the radio.we thought nothing of it witch was a bad idea. so we stayed in the pool that also is really bad idea. the wind started to pick up and the temperature dropped. then a bolt of lightning struck and a crash of thunder after that we ran out of the pool. the weather got worse and worse. then the tornado siren blasted once ran inside and got to the basement we did that because it is the most safest place to be during a bad storm or tornado. you also should stay away from windows.we stayed down there until the sirens turned off but it was not wet out at all. so we started a fire the temperature kept dropping it started to drizzle but we stayed out side. after a few minutes sleet started to poor down sleet is freezing rain.after all that it was hailing sleeting and storming at the same time. we ran back to the basement and we turned [6]

on the weather channel to see what was going on. we stuck right in between a cold and warm pressure system that is really. then the power went out after an hour or two i fell asleep i woke up the next day and i was fine indiana has many types of weather they mostley have bliizards and thunder storms. and we get lake effect snownlake effect snow is pretty much snow that comes from lakes. MONS OON Monsoon It was a steamy hot day in Puerto Rico with my family. We were walking down the street when all of a sudden a big gust of wind hits us then the sky just turned gray and it started to down pour then more wind came and someone came running up the street yelling “RUN get into shelter there’s a monsoon coming”! Me and my family just ran for our lives running up the street following everyone and running into the building. When we were in the building we hid in a room and I could hear the wind hitting the side of the building and I’m guessing that it is spinning at 10mph.

Blizzards It was a freezing december morning and my parents were going to take us somewhere but, we weren’t able to because there was a snow storm coming with high winds. When it came it made the house way more colder and there was snow half way up our living room window and there was no way to see if anyone was out there. Then, all of a sudden the power turns off and we did not have a backup generator so we had to use our cell phones to call someone to help us but the phones were almost dead.
