Mark Darbon

Mark Darbon is a Kent-based artist specialising in pen & wash. As a practising architect for 25 years he particularly enjoyed developing architectural ideas and the visual expression of communicating those ideas through drawing. His love of the rich variety of Kentish architecture and landscape is captured here in this lively exhibition of his watecolour and ink studies. THE ROWANS

GCSE Art & Design and GCSE Photography groups’ end of year show. Exhibition Preview: Thursday 1 June, 6–8pm. All welcome.

A retrospective of the pupils' GCSE Art & Design and GCSE Photography portfolios. The Art & Design pupils will be showcasing work from their Art Nouveau and Pop Art projects. The Photography pupils will be showcasing work from their Weird and Wonderful and Landscape projects. Both groups will also exhibit their final pieces from their exam.

Laura Crosland An accomplished potter, Laura joined Nucleus Arts after finishing her apprenticeship at the Leach pottery in Cornwall where her work is still sold. As well as producing work from her new studio to sell through galleries, she teaches group and private pottery lessons. Margaret Shepherd paints abstract juxtapositions of colour inspired by the essence of her surroundings. Laura has also invited her students to join her in their first exhibition as potters. JUDE ADAMS Singer/songwriter Jude Adams (58) is an inspiring role model for older women. In The Most Extraordinary Adventure she shares her remarkable story of teenage dreams, cruel setbacks and gritty determination by taking us through the key moments in her life from closet singer to coping with M.E. and the unexpected birth and launch of her debut album, This Girl, This Woman which was released to much acclaim in September 2016.
