Arts Award inspires young people to grow their arts and leadership talents: it is creative, valuable and accessible. It can be achieved at five levels - four qualifications and an introductory award: Discover, Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Arts Award ‘Discover’ aims to encourage learners to develop a basic understanding of a range of art forms, to commit to taking part in art activities and to develop a basic understanding of communication. Learners do this through identifying the range of art forms making up the arts, taking part in different art activities, finding out about artists and their work, and sharing their art discoveries with others.

Art Inclusive allows us to embed creative activities and therapies into health and wellbeing programmes across Medway and Kent, including through the effective use of Social Prescribing. The programme includes activities for all age groups, ranging from the youngest children to those at the end of life. This programme promotes mental wellbeing; reduces the reliance on prescription medications; increases the self-esteem and confidence amongst participants improving their quality of life: and increases transferable skills including employability skills.

We have no boundaries to inhibit our thinking, creativity and aspirations; we aspire to be an organisation which continually evolves, reflecting our diverse audience of individuals and communities across Medway and Kent. We inspire and transform the lives of these individuals and communities, providing innovative solutions and collaborating effectively with voluntary and statutory sectors alike; we develop people and culture; stimulate social inclusion, health and wellbeing; enhancing the quality of people’s lives through the Arts and beyond.
