Margaret Shepherd

Margaret describes her work as “paintings that are experiments with transparency and opacity, some are ‘stain’ paintings where I help the paint to float into position, others are ‘gestural’ where I am aiming to get a dynamic energy into the mark making. I am inspired by the colour and vibrancy of the world around me and I try to capture the essence of what I see scaled up to dramatic effect.” Exhibition Preview: Thursday 28 September, 6–8pm
