D6 Exhibition Unit 2: Matter Matters Report

Page 1

Unit Brief

The Unit regard climatic systems of energies, assembled material built system and our biological system of body and perceptions as 3 systems that possess their own operating logic but when deployed simultaneously, could be integrated into a closed energy loop. Through a biomimetic approach, students will seek to integrate architecture with structure, energy performance and poetic, spatial atmospheres as outcomes of generative, comprehensive complex systems.

RE[DEFINE] ASHSCAPES: WASTELAND RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

Our architectural endeavor embodies a transformative vision that transcends conventional boundaries, seamlessly blending computational prowess with the elegance of biomimetic design. At its core lies a profound commitment to addressing Singapore’s land scarcity by ingeniously repurposing waste ashes as the cornerstone of sustainable construction. This endeavor is not merely about erecting structures; it’s about cultivating a symbiotic relationship between human ingenuity and the natural world.
