• The stranded motifs involve rather long floats. It is recommended to trap them leaving floats no more than four stitches wide and placing traps so that there is at least one stitch column between trapped floats in consecutive rounds. The chart of each mitten is given in two versions: with recommendations of places for traps and without them. • Switching from one color to the other, we either bring the new color over or under the old color. Yarn brought over (background yarn) will make tighter stitches. Yarn brought under (dominant yarn) will make looser stitches. The CC yarn should be dominant throughout all the stranded charts.
