ATMOSPHERE 04 showcases the pedagogy, activities, and initiatives of New York Institute of Technology, School of Architecture and Design through the eyes of our students, in the form of design studios, technology, visualization, history, research, and collaborative projects from the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020. The body of work presented in this issue represents our undergraduate and graduate degree programs: B.S.A.T., B.ARCH., B.F.A.I.D., M.ARCH., M.S.A.U.R.D. Our school is dedicated to excellence and a culture of innovation in architecture and design through its curricula and specialized course formats, such as service-learning, travel abroad, sLAB, international workshops, exhibitions, events, and lecture series. While Atmosphere is retrospective, in the sense that it features work already accomplished, it also embodies an ongoing process of transformation, experimentation, and innovation, as SoAD renews its emphasis on technology to improve human environments
