New Year’s Day Walk with the Mayor & Council

A community walk with the Mayor and Council leaving from the Oak Bay Recreation Centre Lobby at 12:30pm. The walk will be about 4km. A Meet and Greet with Mayor and Council will be held after in the Sports View Lounge between 1:30-2:30pm. Coffee, tea and cookies will be provided.

HOLIDAY SKIDADDLE

5-12 YRS

Spend your Winter Break with Skidaddle! This action-packed daily registration camp features out trips, outdoor adventures, games, festive crafts, sports, and much, much more! You will be divided into groups by age. As bus out trips begin in the morning, we ask that you arrive no later than 9:00am. Sign-in: 8:15-9:00am; Sign-out: 4:15-5:15pm.

Children must be currently registered in kindergarten or older to register for this camp.

SWIMING INSTRUCTOR

SWIM FOR LIFE INSTRUCTOR 15 YRS+

The Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor course prepares the instructor to teach and evaluate the swimming strokes and related skills found in the Lifesaving Society Swim for Life program. Candidates acquire proven teaching methods, planning skills, and a variety of stroke development drills and correction techniques.

Pre-requisites: participants must have Bronze Cross (need not be current) and be 15 years old by the last day of the course.

FIRST AID COURSES

CPR C 13 YRS+ CPR C teaches participants the current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) practices and choking procedures for adults, children, and infants. CPR C is required for lifeguards, medical personnel and paramedics, but is ideal for anyone to have. This course is current for three years and includes Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.
