MUSICAL INSTRUMENT LESSONS

GUITAR FUNDAMENTALS 19 YRS+

Guitar fundamentals teaches many of the core techniques of playing the guitar. This course is centered around popular music styles and reviews melodies, strumming, and fingerpicking techniques with opportunities for student collaboration. While this class is designed for intermediate beginners, guitarists at other levels are welcome as there will be varying degrees of difficulty for much of the course content. This course is primarily focused on harmony and ear training. It starts with simple chord progressions before moving on to transposition, common key changes, and borrowed chords. Students will gain practical knowledge of harmony through learning the numbered approach for describing chord movement. This class is intended for intermediate beginners but would be useful for intermediate musicians.
