What do I need? Four GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above including English, Maths and Science or successful completion of a BTEC Level 2 Diploma or a related vocational area.

What will I learn? l Construction design l Construction technology l Graphical detailing l Building surveying l Tendering and estimating l Building regulations l Project management

What can I do next? Progress on to an HNC in Construction, Civil Engineering or other related Higher Education course or alternatively into employment within the construction and property industry. If you are already working in the Construction industry and want to progress in your career, then this one-day per week course will set you on the right path.

Euan Beaddie studied a Level 3 Diploma and progressed to the HNC in Construction Management at Oaklands College. Euan currently works as an Assistant Building Manager at Willmott Dixon and has now completed his Construction Management degree with University Campus St Albans (UCSA).

What can I do next? Progess on to an HNC in Civil Engineering or other related Higher Education course. It will also allow you to apply for membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
