This popular course is ideal if you prefer a more practical course of study. It covers a wide range of subject specialisms which allows you to develop your scientific knowledge and skills.

What do I need? Four GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above in English, Maths and Science or a relevant Level 2 qualification.

What will I learn? l Laboratory Practice l The Scientific Method l Scientific Principles l Maths for Science l The Application of Chemistry and Biology In addition, a wide range of forensic specialisms will be studied including: l Criminology l Criminal & Accident Investigations

What can I do next? You’ll be well equipped to progress to degree level studies or you could apply for an apprenticeship. Potential careers include forensic scientist, crime scene investigator or laboratory technician.

What do I need? Four GCSEs at Grade 4/ C or above including Science, Maths and English or a Level 2 qualification in Applied Science.
