009 Vintage Pair of Lightolier Double-Candle Sconces This vintage pair of cast-iron art deco double-candle wall sconces have an olive green finish with brass accents and wooden candle covers. They were manufactured by Lightolier in the 1920’s. Lightolier was founded in 1904 byBernhard Blitzer under the name of New York Gas and Appliance Co. They are both stamped “1844” on the back and still have stickers on the back which read “ After Sunset Lightoliers”. The dimensions are 11 inches long by 5 inches wide by 12 incheshigh. 011 Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos Clock, Circa 1970 This elegant perpetual motion clock is Swiss made by Jaeger-LeCoultre. It is part of their Atmos collection and is the Caliber 528-8 model, which was produced between 1960 and 1980. The clock has a brass frame and the shield is white with goldenarrow markers and Arabic numerals. The facial diameter is 5 1/4 inches wide. The bottom is stamped with the make and model number. The clock does have a brass plate on it etched with, “William N. Carroll, June 28, 1978� from IBM. Theplate appears to be easily removable. 056 “Mountain Mist” Watercolor, Liang Wei Mountain Mist, a modern Asian watercolor landscape, is signed and seal-marked by the artist. Liang Wei is a professional artist based in Northern Virginia and specializes in contemporary Chinese Paintings and ChineseCalligraphy. In addition to being featured in Chinese magazines, Liang Wei’s calligraphy has been on jacket designs of such books as “The Search for Modern China” and “Chinese Roundabout” by Yale historian Jonathan Spence and “Furrows” by Yale anthropologists Helen Siu. Liang Wei studied at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. His works has been shown in numerous art galleries and art centers, and his paintings have won a number of awards in exhibitions.
