A Place of Peace
VetREST is a nonprofit dedicated to mentoring veterans while providing farming opportunities in safe and supportive environments. One of their latest projects was transforming a World War II-era victory garden at The Bomber Restaurant in Milwaukie. Dozens of volunteers and organizations assisted with the construction in the first half of 2020, and the garden had its first harvest that summer.
