Well, well, well! It might be a New Year, but it’s the same old problems for all your favorite celebrities and your favorite mistress of ceremonies, Shamantha Cox, is here to ring in all the gossip fun only in the dirt zone of your favorite fag rag, Odyssey mag!! Whee!! It looks like Ronald Regan, Hitler, and Saddam Hussein just might be having a new roommate moving into their bachelor pad in hell!! 88-yearold, one-term president, George Bush Senior, the original Iraqi murderer, is on the verge of death! He has been hospitalized since November due to a vascular condition called Parkinsonism!! Doctors say his condition is worsening and now he’s been transferred to the ICU!!! Wow!! Barbara Walters took some time off from being the main pit bull on “The View”, alongside her co- hosts, Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg, so she could do the biggest interview of her career! Yep! She sat down with best President Barack Obama and his stunning wife, Michelle Obama, and got them to reveal how they keep the passion alive in their 20 year marriage!! Barack said, “You work through the tough times (and) the respect and love...deepens!” Uh oh!! Rumor has it teen heartthrob, Justin Bieber, is so stressed out about his romance troubles with Selena Gomez that he has become increasingly difficult to work with and is smoking pot all day long instead of getting to work!! Hmmm... Too bad Harry Styles and One Direction have been stealing all of Justin’s teen superstar thunder! Harry is currently dating Taylor Swift who was stupid enough to break up with American royalty, Conner Kennedy, so that she could be with Harry!! Maybe she’s not just fat!! Jessica Simpson and her fiancé, Eric Johnson, have confirmed that she is indeed pregnant!! Move over Anderson Cooper!! The new sexiest man on television, Piers Morgan, has also become the most intelligent after he had the balls to speak out against the NRA and suggest that the Federal Government use common sense and ban insane weaponry like the machine guns responsible for the horrific odysseymagazine.net • December 28, 2012–january 10, 2013

Connecticut school shooting!! We love Piers!! Oh dear!! Rumors are running rampant that Kris and Bruce Jenner, parents of top reality stars, Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian, might be headed for divorce!! They’ve denied rumors that they have separated, so only time will tell!! Hopefully, Kanye West and Lamar Odon, the sexy men in their daughters’ lives, will help the family stay together!! One thing’s for sure, the Kardashian’s sure know how to throw a Christmas party! Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Heather McDonald, Sugar Ray Leonard, Maria Menounos, Alan Thicke, Mario Lopez, Karina Smirnoff, and Emblem 3 all showed up to their star studded X-mas Soiree!! Wow!! It was stars only in Cabo San Lucas this weekend with lovebirds Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux taking a lil’ vacation time, and they traveled down south with fellow celebs, George Clooney, Stacy Keibler, Rande Gerber, and Cindy Crawford!! Oh boy!! It looks like Hakob Manoukian, the chauffer who is suing Jennifer Lopez for $2.8 million might just win this lil’ court fight because he claims he was forced to resign after being publicly berated by her manager, Benny Medina. A judge dismissed Jennifer’s counter-lawsuit against Hakob, and now the two enemies will have to square off in court!! Wow!! Rihanna and Chris Brown STILL haven’t confirmed that they are officially back together, but the two stopped all their hide and seek press games and actually showed up together to the Lakers and Knicks game at the Staples center!! They sat side by side and held hands looking disturbingly in love like some sad Ike and Tina Turner situation!! What’s this? Controversial actor, James Franco, is directing a weird documentary film about S&M and Kink!!! On set gossip sources say porn star, Princess Donna Dolore, is heavily featured in the film!! Sorry, Kristen Stewart!! It looks like Hollywood executives have

declared Natalie Portman is actually Hollywood’s most bankable actress this year!! Miss thing makes $42.70 for every dollar a studio spends on her and Kristen Stewart only makes $40.60!! Following behind them is Shia LaBeouf at $35.80, Robert Pattinson at $31.70 and Daniel Radcliffe at $30.50!! Bitches better watch out because Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway scored the second biggest all time Christmas Day Movie Opening, taking $18.2 million at the box office with “Les Miserables”!! Look out, Lady GaGa!! Queen of mean, Ana Wintour, gorgeous head publisher at the bible of gorgeousness, Vogue Magazine, has just announced that Beyoncé Knowles will grace the cover in 2013, and she will be shot by legendary photographer, Annie Leibovitz!! Oh boy!! Stars and more stars at best production company World Of Wonder’s big party celebrating 21 years of ruling the world of television and beyond!! Top celebrities like Don Fenton Bailey, Don Randy Barbato, Don Thairin Smothers, Queen La Toya Jackson, H.S.H. Ru Paul, Tippi Hedren, Bo Derek, Daniel Franzese, Charro, James St. James, Kristen W., Kianna Moore, Calpernia Adams, Lenora Claire, Austin Young, and Sham Ibrahim (absolutely no relation to Shamantha Cox whatsoever) all showed up to the Globe Theatre at Universal Studios for all the W.O.W related fun!!! Be sure to get on Amazon.com and order your copy of the World According To Wonder, the amazing coffee table book from W.O.W and don’t forget to log on to www. worldofwonder.net for all the latest from Andy Warhol’s pal, Steven Saban!!! Oh boy!! Sexy superstar, Chad Michael Murray, from “One Tree Hill” will be starring alongside Ben MacKenzie on T.N.T’s scripted show, “Southland”, where he plays a police officer!! Well, this New Year, don’t forget to resolve yourself to always read the pages of Odyssey Magazine, your only source for all the best in gossip, nightlife, music, and restaurants, MARY!!

@courtneyact The most beautiful man in the world

Greetings from Hong Kong. I have been shopping all day in Sham Shui Po, the textiles district, to put some finishing touches on my NYE look. I am performing at SEVVA, one of the most epic restaurants I have ever been to anywhere in the world for NYE. I will miss all the WeHo shenanigans, but between the going-ons at Revolver, Diamond Ball and in Vegas... sounds like there is some fabulous options for your NYE kiss location. Last Saturday, I performed Courtney’s Christmas Carols at Revolver with my new pianist, Josh. I felt I was going out on a well decorated limb performing live music in a gay bar, but it was really well received. We opened the show with the timely classic, “Age Of Aquarius”, being that Saturday was the first day of the actual Age of Aquarius (welcome). The plan is to do this live Saturday night show weekly starting in January. More news as it breaks. Cabaret aficionados included Jeff Lymburner and the Monday Night Running Club, Jai Rodriguez, Mike Munich, Brody Brown and Blake Logan. I look forward to heading east when I get back from the East to be a guest at Selene Luna’s Dog & Pony Show at Akbar. It will be my first time performing anywhere east of Rockwell, and I can’t wait to see this whole other side of LA. I imagine the people will be “hairyer”, friendlier, and there will be a different aroma. Christmas saw Revolver and The Abbey pumping with those who remained in town. I broke my four months sobriety and got on the razz which began with my season favourite egg nog and finished with being thrown out of The Abbey. I always see this as a sign of a good time. David Cooley, Simon SherryWood, Rogan Richards, Marco Marco, Devon Uribe, Luke Nero, Perry Meek, BP Major were to name but a few that I can actually remember. Have a fabulous New Year’s Eve whatever you do, and with whomever you do it! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! odysseymagazine.net • December 28, 2012–january 10, 2013

ALLURE of the SEAS

Royal Caribbean Cruises are known for fruity, freeflowing drinks, ever-present buffets and 24-hour room service -- nowhere is that more apparent then on their newest ship Allure of the Seas, making it easy to pack on a few extra pounds as an added souvenir. Couple the unlimited food options with the more sedentary lifestyle usually seen on cruises, and the hot speedo you brought with you could feel more like a sausage casing in a matter of days. If you, like many gay men, are taking the upcoming Independence Carribbean Cruise February 2 - 10, 2013 on the Independence of the Seas or any Royal Caribbean cruise for that matter and would like to return home without the kind of extra baggage like I did, follow these tips to avoid the dreaded cruise bulge.

1. Find your sea legs. Make it your mission to pull yourself from the lounge chair daily to walk and always take the stairs. Most mainstream cruise ships have at least 11 decks but the Allure of the Seas has 17 (16 actually as there is no 13th floor). Think about it. If your cabin is on Deck 2 and the pool is on Deck 15, well, you won’t need to worry much about not working out. Bonus: With thousands of passengers all waiting for the same few elevators, the stairs are often a quicker option to get where you’re going. Pick a deck or two every day and really explore (just walk extra fast past the buffet table!). In addition to getting some fresh air and exercise, you’ll acquaint yourself with the ship.

charge of about $10-$12, which is about what you’d pay for a class at home anyway). Some ships might offer something a little different, such as yoga on the beach -- when do you do that at home? Plus, classes can help you meet like -- minded people. 4. Get out of your comfort zone with a new activity. Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships are decked out with all kinds of recreation options. Rock-climbing walls, ice-skating rinks, even wave-rider pools and bowling lanes! Try something completely new, or brush up on forgotten skills. You might even find a new sport that you want to keep up with when you’re back home. Or just go crazy on the dance floor (you’ll burn about 300 calories in an hour!).

5. Switch up your food. Take control of your meals. Instead of just letting the steak you ordered come to you with the bearnaise sauce slathered all over it, ask for the sauce on the side. Be creative; you’re not tied to the menu as written. Ask for two appetizers instead of an entree. Or skip the appetizer and order two lobsters when you see that on the menu -- just be careful with the melted butter! In addition, most cruise lines also list menu items that are designed to be more healthful, so look for them too. Vancation doesn’t have to be about overindulging, but it can be an opportunity to eat fresh, healthy food (it’s easier when someone else is doing the cooking!).

2. Start the day right. Eat fruit for breakfast, it’ll keep you full longer than sugary pancakes because it’s packed with fiber, which takes longer to digest. If you’re cruising in the wintertime to escape the cold, you probably haven’t seen fresh fruit such as pineapple, melons, strawberries, kiwi, etc., for months. Take advantage! You can get watery scrambled eggs and frozen hash browns anytime.

6. Steer clear of fancy-schmancy drinks. It’s hard to avoid them. The waiters walk around all day long with trays full of the fun, colorful potions. But keep in mind that an innocent looking daiquiri could packas many as 500 calories! Have one to celebrate when you board the ship, but after that stick with wine or light beer. If you’re feeling left out of the party, ask for the umbrella and garnish to be put in your beer.

3. Sweat it out! Cruises usually offer on-board fitness classes, and the downtime on ships gives you a great opportunity to check them out. Sign up for the classes you’re interested in as soon as you board the ship. Your account will automatically be charged whether or not you show up, so there’s financial incentives to get there. (More popular ones usually have an extra

Okay, hello. Well, if you remember, last time I declared that the world would not be coming to an end on the 21st, and guess what? It didn’t. So, all the panic was for nothing. It was the biggest anti-climax we’ve had since the opening of Al Capone’s Vault by Geraldo Rivera. However, as the New Year approaches, I will take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for all your calls and letters letting me know how the Stars worked their magic for you in 2012. It is rewarding always to hear from my devoted readership, so do not hesitate to say “hello” to Mrs. Hello! As usual, I have my Predictions for the New Year, so without any further ado, here you are with my best wishes going out to all for a Happy, Prosperous, and Healthy New Year! Read your horoscope. Kiss someone. Believe the Magic. After all, you’re all stars.

Gemini May 22–Jun 21: And they call her Charley. You remain easy, breezy, and beautiful, and others as well as yourself like your fun traits. The first of the year, however, might be a good time to put the distant and/or anxious spells in check in order to have others truly invest in you. Chris Colfer/Zachary Quinto

* More things than ever will cost $10 * The Hoy Palloi says hello to soy; dairy does a dive * Many will rent not to own * Stem cells start to branch out * Constricted air waves cause confounded cell users much consternation * Interior designers frown on children being too matchy-matchy * “Gangnam Style” is licensed widely with housewares & fragrance * It will still only take a minute to fall in love * Massive landfills & dumps are rocketed into space * Multi-tasking is linked to Tourette’s Syndrome

Leo July 23–Aug 23: Now that you are truly more comfortable in your own skin, and less inclined to discount good minded individuals, you are even more popular and welcomed more often. Now that wasn’t hard, was it? Lessen the grip on others, and results will improve. You may not always be right, but you are never wrong. Brad Goreski/ Stephan Dorff

Mrs. Hello’s New Year Predictions for 2013

Aries Mar 21–Apr 19: You are nothing, if not dynamic, but a quick temper and lack of listening may explain the turn style at your bedroom door. Always very creative, however, the drama you’re creating lately is unnecessary and indulgent - slow down. Rosie O’Donnell/Casper Smart Taurus Apr 20–May 21: Patience is one of your gifts, but lately it seems as though you have run out of it with yourself. Time to get back to a routine. If a relationship is stopping this, move on. In turn, avoid the possession/ obsession pitfall. John Waters/Channing Tatum odysseymagazine.net • December 28, 2012–january 10, 2013

Cancer Jun 22–Jul 22: I’m a survivor; you’re a survivor, and your giving nature should be curtailed if you are going to survive, that is. You should have no trouble getting the clues needed come the New Year, as you are a good listener. Something to do with organization should be brought to the forefront. Jane Lynch/Vin Diesel

Virgo Aug 24–Sep 22: Your keen insight and discriminating eye is great for detail as very little gets by you these days, but the flip side is that the not-so-little is getting overlooked. Broaden your focus, and avoid excessive criticism to resume balance now. Travis Wall/Tyler Perry Libra Sep 23–Oct 23: A well-earned reputation has made you the master of counsel, but the wisdom you bestow on others has been falling through the cracks with yourself. Not wishing to assume your own risks, attempt to find another who has no trouble with being a “wild one”, and strike a deal with your even-keeled skill set. It’s bound to work. Dan Savage/Huell Houser Scorpio Oct 24–Nov 22: As we

enter the New Year, keep your activities bobbing on the surface, and coast along with your famous charm. The tendency to dip down in the muck and mire would backfire tenfold, and at its worst, you could end up consuming what you only just wanted to taste. Adam Bouska/Sean Combs Sagittarius Nov23–Dec 21: Shoot that poison arrow, or regular arrow, and you will hit the target, to be sure. There is nothing wrong with your aim, but if you have not been listening, you could have the wrong target altogether. In order to teach, you must first know: there is no substitute, teacher. Live and let live, and let kindness be your new guide. Chris Crocker/Nick Stahl Capricorn Dec 22–Jan 20: Everything old is new again, and you, Capricorn, grow younger as you age. With a solid foundation, you can put anything you wish on top, so sing, “Climb Every Mountain”. Your time is coming into focus faster and faster. And just a reminder to you Leo’s and Scorpios out there - just because you are on top doesn’t make you one. Mrs. Hello & Mister World/ Ryan Seacrest Aquarius Jan 21–Feb 18: Just like the water you bear, you should go with the flow for the time being. Resist the negative energy your short fuse invites to your sphere, and stand tall. This should counter your ending up disgruntled, at least until Spring. Jeffery Self/Taylor Lautner Pisces Feb 19–Mar 20: A shift in the placement of your well-meaning and caring nature is in order, now more than ever. The temptation may be to escape because the lack of organization is causing some backward momentum. Put your gifts to work, but this time address the macro end of the scale. Wanda Sykes/Rob Kardashian
