A SCHOOLYARD FOR ALL ‘HOUCH YGAMAANA’ is a participatory design and construct project initiated by the UNHCR, designed, developed and implemented by Ecumene Studio under the embralla of Terre Des Hommes aiming to benefit the local community in governmental primary schools of Egypt. The project comprises a series of participatory workshops with the students of the school, teachers as design partners to upgrade their schoolyards. Physical outputs of the project included redesign of the schoolyard and recreational spaces to achieve an educative experience, include multiuse playscape, increase vegetation and outdoor shading areas and finally achieving a child proof environment. This year Houshygam'ana (ASchoolyardForAll) is implemented in 3 public schools, two in the Sheikh Zeyed City (GCR) and one in Borj El Arab city (Alexandria)
