Corso di Francia è la strada principale che collega viale M. Pilsudski con la stada Flaminia Nuova, il quartiere Parioli e quello di Tor di Quinto. Il quartiere Parioli fu tra i primi dieci sorti a Roma nel 1911 e completato durante gli anni ‘50.

Il ponte è progettato per collegare due aree vicine Corso di Francia: i quartieri Fleming e Vigna Clara situati su due opposte colline. Per sviluppare il progetto il problema principale era creare una struttura che potesse integrarsi nel contesto urbano. Qui è sicuramente importante sottolineare il collegamento tra la struttura architettonica ed il concetto di spazio. Il ponte è

disegnato per inserirsi all’interno dell’area con una forma decisa ma allo stesso tempo che allungandosi, da nord a sud, si apre alla penetrazione della luce. Il concept di questo vede la volontà di trovare un disegno che metta in evidenza il desiderio di creare un vincolo concettuale unico con la struttura principale: una struttura che coincide con la forma architettonica, creando un insieme tra il gesto architettonico e progettazione strutturale.

La costruzione del ponte porterà su un altro programma che prevede la realizzazione di una serie di laboratori e negozi dedicati alle attività artigianali che si affacciano su Corso di Francia.

Corso di Francia is Vigna Clara’s main street, it connects viale M. Pilsudski with the confluence of the via Flaminia Nuova in Roma, Parioli and Tor di Quinto districts. The Parioli district is among the top fifteen arose in Rome in 1911 and officially established in 1921.

The bridge is designed to connect two areas close to Corso di Francia: Fleming and Vigna Clara districts, located on two opposite hills. It will be a walking and cycling promenade. To develop the concept the main issue was put it in keeping with its surroundings and to draw a bridge in which structure and design be present at the same time. Here, it is certainly appropriate to emphasize the link between the idea of structurearchitecture and the concept of space. The bridge is designed to be permeable and transparent to the

urban environment, without compromising the protection of the district: a curvilinear body that grows along the north-south axis and opens to light penetration.

In concept of this bridge it shows the will to find a design that highlights the desire to create a unique conceptual node with the main structure: a structure that coincides with the architectural shape, creating a whole between the architectural gesture and structural design. Now more than ever, the architecture is constrained only by itself, by the taste and culture of the places where it is made. Here the task of the expression is assigned to the property. The construction of the bridge will carry on another program that involves the construction of a series of workshops and shops dedicated to the activities of crafts that overlook on Corso di Francia.
