Danielle Beverly is a dedicated leader, advocate, and survivor who has spent her life empowering others through education, sports, and resilience. A graduate of Grand Valley State University with a BS in Physical Education, Danielle was also a member of the women’s basketball team. She later earned a MS in Sports Administration from Wayne State University, which led to her role as the Senior Women’s Administrator and Director of Compliance at Grand Valley State University
Danielle is the wife of Eric Beverly, a former 10-year NFL veteran who played 7 seasons with the Detroit Lions and 3 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons Together, they are the proud parents of their daughter, Lia, and currently reside in New Orleans.
A passionate advocate for breast cancer awareness, Danielle is a living testament to resilience She fought and triumphed over breast cancer three times by the age of 33, with her third iagnosis occurring while 36 weeks pregnant with Lia Nearly 15 years later, Danielle's battle would continue when her breast cancer metastasized to her lung Through it all, she remains committed to living with strength, hope, and optimism
In 2006, Danielle and Eric founded The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports socioeconomically challenged cancer patients by removing financial barriers to treatment Their mission is to help ensure that every individual has access to the care they need to fight and overcome cancer Through her foundation and personal journey, Danielle seeks to inspire others with her unwavering faith and determination
