I would like to welcome you all to the 21st Annual Off the Field Players' NFL Wives Association Fashion Show. I’m so honored to Chair this year's event to kick off Super Bowl weekend. What makes it even more special, it's in my hometown here in Los Angeles. Off the Field Players' NFL Wives Association is beyond thrilled to have Holly Robinson Peete and Cookie Johnson as the honorary co-chairman for this years show. It is truly a blessing to be joined by my NFL sisters for an unforgettable afternoon of fashion and come together to recognize some brilliant ladies. The title of today‘s event, ‘Fashion on a Spectrum’, is special as we are here to benefit the HollyRod Foundation, as they bring awareness and support for kids living with Autism. A big thank you goes out to our host, Santa Monica Place, for partnering with the Off the Field Players' NFL Wives Association and hosting this amazing event. Thank you to the retailers who provided the styles for our fashionistas and models today. The show wouldn't be possible without our wonderful sponsors, we appreciate you for making this day possible. Again, thank you for joining us this afternoon and enjoy this wonderful Super Bowl weekend here in LA.

A LOOK BACK AT THE OFF THE FIELD NFL WIVES CHARITY FASHION SHOW Off The Field’s return to the catwalk during Super Bowl week is guaranteed to bring back high fashion and a spirit of camaraderie for a gathering with purpose. Our virtual look was different last year, but 2022 offers an in-person event with gratitude and grace. As Santa Monica showcases the 21st Annual Off The Field NFL Wives Association Charity Fashion Show, OTF shares the journey they traveled during the last two decades with this must-see event.
In 2001, Sherice Brown, the wife of Heisman Trophy winner and NFL Hall of Famer, Tim Brown and her long-time friend, Angela Allen, imagined an event that would give back to the host city community and highlight the dynamic work of NFL wives - off the field. Super Bowl week meant Sherice accompanied Tim to his autograph appearances, golf outings, and award ceremonies. While on the YNS Live with NFL Thread podcast recently, Brown reminisced about those days when she remembered thinking, “Here I am tagging along as the supportive wife - what can I do to give back and help while I’m here?” Inspired by the star-studded fashion show that her friend, actress and philanthropist, Holly Robinson Peete, wife of former NFL Legend Rodney Peete, gave during Super Bowl week, Brown and Allen’s vision came into focus. Onboard with the plan, NFL wives Ashley Brown (Ray), Romonda Jordan (Randy), Kim Wheatley (Tyrone), Angela Garner (Charlie), and Zina McGlockton (Chester) joined forces with the two visionaries.
The inaugural Players’ Wives Fashion Show Brunch and Tea occurred in 2002 during Super Bowl XXXVI week in New Orleans. Couture fashion designer Max Nugus hosted the event, NFL wives modeled his designs from their personal collection and $3,000 was raised for a local nonprofit after-school program. They established the blueprint to bring forth a successful event and cultivate relationships along the way.
After six years of prosperous fashion shows, the NFL women were ready to expand their impact. OTF was established on February 16, 2006 in Washington, D.C. as a national nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The membership comprises of the significant others and wives of active and retired NFL players who are united and empowered to perform and support philanthropic initiatives that enhance the quality of life for families in our communities. The Off The Field NFL Wives Association Charity Fashion Show is a must attend event during Super Bowl week. Each year, the marquee fashion extravaganza adapts the flair and culture of the host city while paying homage to women leaders who make a difference in their communities with the Off The Field Woman of Impact Award and The Danielle Beverly Courage Award. It all begins with a red-carpet experience, a VIP reception, and a runway vibe of lights, sounds and fun! The wives are introduced by the work they do or the careers they have off the field. The laughter follows when their spouses join their better half on stage. The charitable purpose is the reason for the event. Since that first show, OTF has contributed more than $1,000,000 for local and national service providers and non-profits who support children and families. This year, the primary beneficiary is the HollyRod Foundation who is dedicated to raising awareness and providing resources to families that have a loved one who has received an autism or Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis. A full circle moment, indeed.
