From political battles to administrative duties, life is never quiet for Suzanne Mammel. But the efforts of the HamiltonHalton HBA Executive Officer and her staff over the past 365 days were particularly worthy of attention, as evidenced by their 2019 Local Association of the Year honour, presented at the OHBA Annual Conference at Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood at the end of September. engagement and community contribution, this year’s tribute paid homage to, among other factors, HHHBA’s leadership in building Ontario’s next generation of skilled workers. Through several programs, including Women in Industry, the Hamilton-Halton association works with community colleges, universities, high schools and local job fairs to help find, train and retain the next generation. In addition, HHHBA has worked closely with OHBA on initiatives related to the Growth
