The Warehouse district was an Urban Design group project. The project implemented a detailed study on an underdeveloped region of Tallahassee, FL located specifically on South Monroe St. In concept the project would make an estimate as to what the area could become if an architectural catalyst was introduced and what the potential for future development could be. First the Group was to analysis the site and there after develop a set of design guidelines. The guidelines were based on a set of case studies to insure that specific techniques had been proven to be successful in other cities looking to revitalize underdevelopment. A list of recommended amenities is listed in the study and range from Mix Use facilities to entertainment venues as well as art galleries. The city provided us with future plans for infrastructure which helped guide design ideas. A list of overall cost estimates were made and the urban design was broken up into three phases with no definitive timeline.
