“A menudo el cliente ha relacionado la tienda de vinos como un co-

mercio un poco elitista, de precios elevados y al que ir solo en ocasiones especiales. Pero al mismo tiempo el consumo de vino en este país sigue siendo muy elevado, la que está intrínseco en nuestra cultura gas-

O.M: We could also consider you a young promise thanks to your new clothing brand Mus&Bombon. Tell us a little how the idea came about, what style you follow and the success you are reaping with it.

M.R.: I used to work in the textile sector, bought wholesale and distributed in a chain of stores in which worked. I noticed that all the clothes were the same, several stores sold the same product and competed for price.

And then there were the brands that produced 4 collections a year with higher prices. I saw myself with the need for more, there was a niche to fill. So I created a brand of female clothing with my partner, Borja. Our own designs, a national production and 12 collections a year, yes I know, it’s crazy. And not only for working with your husband, but for the volume of work that generates something like that. Every day is very intense, every day there are new things. All the production, both the fabric and the garment, is made in Spain and Portugal and we don’t make more than 300 garments per model in order to not to mass the article, 50 models per month and wholesales sells. How did you live that stage? What memories remains you that period?

Verónica Blume: I got into that contest without knowing anything about the world of fashion and my life changed radically from day to day. It may seem like a fairy tale or any teenager’s dream, it was not all that glittering like in a movie, but it has certainly taught me a lot about life and all its possibilities. Seen with perspective, I would not change anything!

O.M: Nowadays, which is your fashion conception? Has it changed from your previous one?

V.B: I started working in the world of fashion with 15 years, an age to which most people are very influential. Although I never understood the fascination with fashion, I felt that it was I who did not understand. Now I see it with much more humour: for me, fashion is a way of expressing yourself, of showing you the world and of

reflecting the moment you are going through.

It’s fun and it should be fun. When it becomes a bondage it loses all grace.

O.M: Has the way of perceiving and receiving fashion changed due to our constantly evolution?

V.B: It has changed totally and very fast! The arrival of the influencing people have established a point of closer connection with the public. Before the fashion had a few characters that represented the almost untouchable dream of the fashion show. Today it is much closer, people are much more creative in expressing themselves when dressing and creating their own style.

On the other hand, trends leave much more space for creativity, the law of “anything goes” has unleashed another reading of fashion that, in my opinion, is much more interesting than a trend we all followed without asking too much if that really was consistent with us.

O.M: Do you think the original catwalks have moved to the 2.0 era, where are the influencers?

V.B: The catwalk will always be the catwalk.

But the real catwalk today is very marked by influencers, who attract the attention of a practically pre-teen audience, and have representatives of all ages, conditions, bodies, etc ...

V.B: The Garage is a dream come true. I had been waiting for the perfect time to be able to commit to the project as I feel I should. The motivation of the people who visit us is always to be better with themselves and their environment, which generates a very special atmosphere that I respect and value very much.

Indeed, more and more people are looking for different disciplines to help them find a place of peace in themselves to live in a fuller way.

O.M: And, why yoga?

V.B: Because it is the complete exercise of body and mind. Because since I practice it I like it better and I got better with the world. Because it enriches my present and relativizes the past. Because I feel good about my body. Because it teaches me a place of peace within me from which I can manage much better everything that brings with it the day day.
