Where you find us and what we do Yards Westcon Yards consists of four modern shipyards in Ølen, Florø, Karmsund and Helgeland, each of which is equipped to carry out the most demanding vessel and rig projects. The defining traits of Westcon Yards are efficient mobilization of personnel and resources and the ability to always complete projects on time.

COMPLETE RIG SERVICES WORLDWIDE Westcon Rig Services offers engineering services, maintenance and modifications to drilling companies and rig owners worldwide. Our business is specially designed for the offshore companies’ needs, and we want to work towards our common goals. Westcon Rig Services is a division in the Westcon Group that is dedicated to specialize in mobile units. We are located in Norway and Poland and cover all relevant disciplines and project phases. Our flexible workforce are able to support Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODU) on most locations. Our engineers know the subject areas regulations, and we have the right toolbox to implement projects cost effectively. We focus on maximizing our customer’s uptime and assist them in achieving maximum efficiency and safety on MODU. Our engineers do hands-on work on rigs on a regular basis and we have a strong in-house workforce to take on any offshore modification.

We perform engineering as needed and prefabricate as much as possible in our workshops onshore to reduce the installation period offshore to a minimum. For installation offshore, we use multi skilled personnel to minimize personnel onboard. As our customer you can expect us to quickly and efficiently define the tasks together with you, that we practice transparency during the implementation phase, as well as a predictable and efficient delivery. Westcon offer qualified personnel and equipment for inspection, service and installation offshore. Competent project managers make use of Westcon’s own integrated project management tool and project execution model to manage our projects. Westcon’s engineering capacity consist of 150 engineers. Our toolbox is efficient and we utilize accurate 3D survey and engineering applications in our engineering. Westcon is ISO 9001-certified. Westcon has a long track record of delivering engineering services and offshore maintenance and modifications on MODU. We have extensive experience in solving various problems offshore and are able to act fast when needed. Offshore trips for surveying or problem solving is routine work for our engineers.

Westcon Yards AS has more than 20 years’ experience in repairs, maintenance, upgrades and classing for Norwegian and international customers. Today we are a major supplier to the offshore industry, providing maintenance and service on semi-submersibles and jackup rigs. At our shipyard in Ølensvåg, one of Norway’s most modern and successful industrial yards, we have carried out more than 100 rig projects since 1994. Today we also carry out rig assignments at our yards in Florø and Nesna, as well as internationally. In Norway, Westcon is one of the largest providers in its field. In close cooperation with our customers, we have an uncompromising focus on quality, timely execution and flexibility – always ensuring that all work at our yards is carried out as efficiently as possible.
