Architectural Styles From 1700

Georgian Georgian style homes were popular to people who had money. 17001780. They usually have two to three stories. They are not as popular as they used to be.


Federal This style was popular around 1780 to 1840. Federal style houses are usually square or rectangular. It is usually two or three stories high.

Greek Revival Popular in the Untited states in the first half of the 19th centry. The Greek Revival is not as popular as it used to be. Usually two stories.


Italiante Italianate is usually two or three stories. They were popular around 1840-1885. They are not popular anymore but there are some but not alot here.

Victorian They are usually two to three stories. These were popular around 1837 to 1901. Older style home, not very many here.


Colonial Revival These are usualy two to three stories. They were popular 1900 to 1950. They still have these types of homes here.

Prairie These are very nice houses and they are expensive. Most of them are 2-3 stories. They have lots of windows.


Craftsman These are usually 1-2 stories. They have alot of windows. They were popular around 1905 and 1930.

Ranch Ranch style homes only have one storie. They usually have a basement. There are still popular now.


Shed Shed homes have lots of windows in them. They are nice homes. They are not as popular as they used to be.

A -Frame A-Frame houses are very nice. They are very see through with alot of windows. They were popular from the 1950s-1970s.


Geodesic

They are not as popular as they used to be. They are nice homes, but older styles. They have lots of windows.
