he 1970’s hippy styles are without a doubt back in a big way. In fact, they are just around the corner. During this era, it was considered a hippie style, today it’s also called Bohemian. These designs consisted of pale earthy colors. Some colors were often light green, brown, and faded pinks. There are a few designs that have shown this prediction for 2017. One style that is creeping upon us, are floral prints and fringy looks. The free-flowing, exotic and rebellious fashion is another style. Another outlook on this year’s look is the woven, knotted rope

called the macramé. You are able to hold pots and bowls in them. In some interior designs you will see plants in them. Many of these décor items are shown in the runway with famous models such as Gigi Hadid who recently had a photoshoot with this hippie fashion. They are also shown in loft style interiors. Some have bright bizarre patterns on pillows, and blankets as well. This has inspired me to change my bedroom design into a 70’s style that will make me feel right at home.

eople are starting to bring back the 80’s rock style. This is shown in many magazines and websites. Society is beginning to push color choices in homes, whether it’s dark or light or crazy colors they wouldn’t think that they would like. This dark side interior can open up a room. Sometimes, someone needs a break from white clean interiors; they are becoming too dull. Choosing a color for a space can show an edgy style. What’s cool about having a dark

color on walls is that the room can have bright decorations. The dark side is proven to be cozy. So people better change now before spring. If people feel off about a color, don’t! In 2017, people are pushing the color boundaries and taking a worthwhile risk.

ilver and gold colors were a big part of fashion and interior design in the 1920’s. There were also yellows, blues, and greens. Many interiors consisted of wallpaper that had elegance. This era had trends that were more artistic and glamorous than simple and comforting designs. In the home, modernism was taking off as much as it is now. They put silver and gold on shimmery wall patterns to give a drastic impact. Otherwise, it was plain walls. This style is coming back

mostly in fashion. This shining style has been shown on dresses, shorts, and swimsuits in fashion.

interior. Bohemian is similar to the 1970’s Hippie style, yet different. Like the 70’s, the Boho look contains many different patterns and fringy looks. They are mostly bright but also have a 10ft feel to it. In some designs, there have been a modern and bohemian style too.
