Georgian Style Homes A Georgian style home is a square or rectangle shape typically made of brick. They are also symmetrical and have lots of windows usually with black shutters. Georgian homes are also well known for having grand entrances with columns.


Federal Style Homes A Federal style home is a simple square or rectangle and look similar to the federal buildings in america. They resemble federal buildings in the United States with their simple rectangle shapes, symmetry, and columns on the front porch. They are typically 2 stories high and 2 rooms deep.


Greek Revival Homes A Greek revival style home are typically a symmetrical house that resembles greek temples. They have columns and a very large porch entry to the house. Greek revival homes are also shaped like a rectangle and have windows symmetrically around the house.


Italianate Style Homes An Italianate style home is made out of different types of stone and brick and are a rectangle shape. Typically the entrance has large archways for the entrance and columns. Also they have very tall, long, and rounded windows.


Victorian Style Homes A Victorian style home is usually called a “doll house� due to the eccentric designs on the exterior of the house. They are well known for their mansard roofs which is typically the roofing style used on victorian homes. Victorian style homes also have towers, walls that are irregular shaped, and lots of details on the exterior of the home.


Prairie Style Homes Prairie style homes were developed by Frank Lloyd Wright and are very long horozontally. They have lots of flat roofs and rows of windows to resemble a glass wall. They are primarily made with brick, wood and natural materials.


Craftsman style homes are typically made of natural materials like brick, stone, and wood. They are known for having a large porch with thick square or round colums and low pitched triangular roofs. This home is also associated with the arts and craft movement

Ranch Style Homes Ranch style homes are one floor and very long horozontally and are usually pused back on the property to show the land. This was done to show money a long time ago because it made it look like you had more land.


Shed Style Homes Shed style homes have slanted roofs and have lots of horozontal lines. They are good for snowy areas and have lots of windows.


A-Frame Style Homes A-Frame style homes were designed for more of wintery areas. This is because the snow can easily slide off the roof so the house will stay warm. This type of home isnt suitable for a family however because there is no privacy because of the amount of windows and there isnt enough room for a family.


Geodesic Style Homes Geodesic homes are a complex design of triangles. This is designed to keep houses warm. These homes are not suitable for a family because there is not enough room.
