Federal Style This style of home is very similar to the Georgian style of home. It did not show as much wealth. These homes are symmetrical and have many windows. They are usually made of brick.
Georgian Style Georgian style homes showed wealth. They are symmetrical. And mostly made of brick. They were most popular during 1700-1780.
Greek Revival Style
Greek Revival is well known for it talll white columns. These columns are usually found in the front of the home. A good example of greek revival is the white house. And they are usually made of stone. They are also rectangular in shape.
Victorian Style This architecture shows wealth. They can be bright or dark in color. They also have a lot of details. They are known as the “gingerbread� homes.
Italianate Style These homes have square shapes. Italianate architecture have flat roofs. They also can be a variety of colors. And there is one section of the home that is usually taller than the others.
Prairie Prairie style homes have a long and stretched shape. They have many large windows. They also are made to blend into nature. They were popular during 1900-1920. And were originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
Craftsman style This style focused on the materials used. Like wood and stone. They are also fairly common in certain areas.
Ranch Style Ranch style homes were very simple. They are one level and they were popular during the 1950’s and 1960’s. And they do not have very much detail.
Shed Style The roofs are usually made of metal. They were popular during the 60’s. The shapes are very confusing. And they style was very modern.
A-Frame Style These homes are not ideal to raise a family in because of the size. The roofs design prevent snow and other things from getting stuck on it. The shape of the home is triangular and A shaped.
Geodesic Dome This architecture is shaped as a dome. The windows can be fairly large. And the doors entry comes out of the dome. And the windows are usually a triangular.
