A-frame style A-frame style houses are shaped like an A. The entrance door is usually in the bottom center of the A. There are typically lots of windows on the front of the A. You will find these houses typically in the woods. The A frame is to keep snow from piling up on the roof. It is intended to just slide off.


Italianate Italianate style homes look like different sized rectangles put together. They tend to have flat roofs. They will usually have a decoration around the doors and windows.


Victorian Victorian sytle homes can also be knows as gingerbread houses because they can look like gingerbread houses. A lot of Victorian style homes have a front porch that wraps around to the side. They also tend to have a very unique siding pattern.


Federal style Federal style homes are usually 2-3 stories tall and 2 rooms deep. The house itself looks like a simple rectangle box. Federal houses are usually brick or painted brick and have 2 chimneys.


Shed Style Shed style home have slanted roofs. They are typically made out of wood or stone or both. Shed style houses go great out in the woods. They tend to have meny big windows.


Ranch Style Ranch style homes are typically long and skinny. They normally only have one floor, but maybe a large bsement that you can’t see from the outside. Ranch style houses usually have white fences to fence in a large yard.


prairie style Prairie style homes are meant to be very complicated and are meant to confuse you. You will typically find the windows to be very large picture windows. The windows and door windows will also usually have geographic shapes on them.


Craftsman Style Craftsman style houses use lots of wood. There are typically wood window and door frames. On the windows, there are usually wood geometric squares or rectangles.


Greek Revival Style Greek Revival style homes tend to have a lot of detailed columns on the exterior front of the house. The also have lost of detail on the exterior window and door trim.


Georgian Style Georgian style homes tend to have a lot of timy details on door trims and window trims. Georgian style homes will usually have a pair of brick chimneys and a brick walkway up to the house. Most Georgian style homes have brick exteriors with white window and door trims.


Geodesic Dome Geodesic domes are mostly made out of big triangles. The windows are about 4-5 triangles put together in a circle. The doors are just regular doors. the Geodesic dome looks like a dome (big suprise).
