Goergian This style was very popular during the 18th cenury. It includes a very fancy entryway and lots of windows with shutters. Both sides of the homes are mostly symmetrical.


Geodesic This style is not very common. It includes a dome like roof with many windows. The dome is made up of triangles.


Federal This style originated in the United States. It is similar to the Goergian style, but less high end. It includes many windows with shutters.


Greek Revival Homes in this style are designed to look like a Greek temple. They are very symmetrical. There is a porch entry with large columns.


Italianate This style is mainly used in homes. It features low hanging roofs. It also includes a front porch.


Victorian This style inspired many other architectural styles. The homes feature a brick exterior. They also have pointed roofs and many windows.


Praire This style is very modern. It includes flat roofs and rows of windows. It is similar to the craftsman style.


Craftsman This style is very common in suburban communities. It includes a wide front porch. Some other characteristics are wide roofs and brick.


Ranch This style is very similar to the craftsman style. It’s main difference is being one story. These homes are common in suburban areas.


Shed The main feature of this style is sloped roofs. It is very modern. These homes are very asymmetrical.


A-Frame The main feature of this style is an angled roof. Most of these homes are not suitable for a family due to a ;ack of space. They have many windows.
