Safe Sanctuary Screenings – Sunday, March 5th Due to Provincial directives, each congregation in the Southern Province has been charged with implementing a Safe Sanctuary Policy. This policy ensures the safety of children, youth and vulnerable adults in our congregation. As part of the Safe Sanctuary Policy, anyone who works with children/youth (other than Provincial employees and those who already had a screening in order to work at Laurel Ridge) will need to have a screening. This includes all Nursery volunteers, Children’s Church volunteers, Sunday School Teachers, Youth Workers, Youth Choir/Handbell Directors…anyone who works with kids. Unfortunately, the results of screenings that school teachers have already done are not available to us, so we must do another one. Gary Stilley will be at Olivet on Sunday, March 5th after the worship service to conduct the Safe Sanctuary Screenings. Gary coming to Olivet will save everyone from going downtown to have their screening.
