Looking for Musical Talent It is time for the choir to take a “vacation” in the month of July. We are looking for church members of all ages to provide music for our worship service. If you are interested or would like to make a special request, please contact John Golden (336-924-1460 or jgolden961@triad.rr.com ). July 4th, 7:30 PM, Salem Band Stars and Stripes Concert: Honoring veterans in our community with music of Big Bands, Battle Hymn, the Armed Forces, and marches. Don’t miss Salem Band piccolo soloist Trisha Tuttle performing “Through the Air.” And of course, “Stars & Stripes Forever.” All concerts FREE in Salem Square, Old Salem. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Food vendors on site. Established in 1771, Salem Band is the oldest, continuous mixed wind ensemble in the nation. Eileen Young, Music Director. New Philly Farmers Market – July 6, 13, 20, 27 Every Thursday in July, from 5:30 – 7:30 PM New Philadelphia Moravian will host a Farmers Market. They will have local farms, fresh produce, food trucks, chicken pies, live music and handcrafted goods. All are welcome to stop by 4440 Country Club Road and it is free admission. Road Clean Up – This Saturday Our Men’s Fellowship and anyone else who would like to help will be cleaning Olivet Church Road this Saturday, July 8th beginning at 8:00 AM. Details are on our bulletin board, outside of the Church Office. Women’s Bible Study – Tuesday, July 11th The Women’s Bible Study will be on Tuesday, July 11th at 7:00 PM in the Church Parlor. We will begin our study of Adam Hamilton’s newest book, Half Truths. We will be discussing the first chapter, “Everything Happens for a Reason”. Men’s Breakfast — July 16th The Men’s Breakfast will be Sunday, July 16th at 8:30 AM. All men of the church and guests invited. Friends' Circle – Tuesday, July 18th On Tuesday, July 18th, the Friends’ Circle will meet for dinner at 6:00 PM at o’So Eats on Jonestown Road (please note that we are meeting on a Tuesday … not our regular Thursday). Mark your calendar and plan to join us! 2018 Moravian Daily Texts – Orders Due Wednesday, August 2nd It is time to order the 2018 Moravian Daily Texts. If you would like to purchase one or more Daily Texts, fill out an order form (located in the Narthex and at the Fellowship Hall entrance) and turn into the office no later than Wednesday, August 2nd. Money is collected in the fall when they arrive.
