Morning Star Ringers at King Moravian Church – Today, 3:00 PM Our Morning Star Ringers are playing at King Moravian Church next today at 3:00 PM. It is a free program, and there will be a love offering received which will go to the Morning Star Ringers’ upcoming trip. The King Moravian Youth will be hosting an Ice Cream Social following the event. Tommy Cole’s Retirement Reception -- Today, 2:30-4:30 PM Today there will be a Retirement Reception for Tommy Cole to honor his service to Sunnyside and wish him well as he enters the next chapter of his life. There will be a band prelude beginning at 2:00 PM with reception to follow at 2:30 - 4:30 PM. Presentations and remarks will be made at 3:15 PM. The reception will be held at Trinity Moravian Church. Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Training -- Continues This Week The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office will continue to use our church grounds & facilities to conduct daytime law enforcement training sessions this Tuesday and Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM. If you must come to the church during training times, please park nearest to the office side door (shopping center side) and enter that same side door to go to the office. Senior Friends – This Wednesday, June 17th This Wednesday, June 17th at 10:30 AM, the Senior Friends will be entertained by Carolina vocalist, Josh Gardner. This young man has been singing his entire life and has been involved in various musicals, both at church and school. Since graduating from Greensboro College in 2011, Josh has been performing at various assisted livings, retirement centers, senior citizens clubs and churches. He designs his musical programs around a theme and/or season. His program for June is one of celebration for all the special days the month brings. He will be accompanied by his mother, Darlene Gardner. Both Josh and Darlene are members of the Yadkin Valley UMC District JOY singers and sing with Centenary UMC of Clemmons Chancel Choir. Today, please sign up on the Senior Friends’ Bulletin Board outside of the Library, and plan to join us for fellowship and a light lunch.
