July Newsletters Are Available Our July newsletters are available for those who pick up their newsletter at the church. They are in your mailboxes located across from the History Room. Senior Friends – This Wednesday The Senior Friends will meet at 10:30 AM this Wednesday and will have a “Meet and Greet” to visit, enjoy each other’s company and share a light lunch. Please sign up on the Senior Friends’ Bulletin Board outside of the Library, so we will know how many to prepare lunch for. Adult Bible Study – This Wednesday The Adult Bible Study will be this Wednesday at 6:30 PM in the Parlor. We are studying the Book of Revelation. Friends’ Circle – This Thursday The Friends’ Circle will meet for dinner this Thursday at 6:00 PM at Cities Grill, 2438 S. Stratford Road. Youth Beach Trip – June 23 – 26 Our Senior Highs and Middle Highs will be leaving on their annual Youth Beach Trip this Friday and return Monday, June 26th. Please remember these youths and the adult advisors in your prayers. Missions Item of the Month for June During the month of June, we are collecting items for the Seeds of Hope Camp. We are collecting small bottles of water and small bottles of sports drinks. Additionally, we are collecting small stuffed animals. Seeds of Hope is a Christianbased camp for foster, adopted, and other vulnerable children. The camp operates for three weeks this summer. Please help with this need.
Looking for Musical Talent It is time for the choir to take a “vacation” in the month of July. We are looking for church members of all ages to provide music for our worship service. Our Administrative Assistant Away Our Administrative Assistant, Kandis Fox will be out of the office this Wednesday, June 21st through next Wednesday, June 28th. Office volunteers will be in the office a few hours daily to answer the phone. Pastor Matthew Away Pastor Matthew will be away this Friday through Monday, June 26th with the Senior Highs and Middle Highs. Sunnyside Ministry Needs Bag Dinners for VBS Sunnyside Ministry is excited to announce that we are hosting Vacation Bible School July 17th – July, 21st, 2017, 4:00--7:00 PM for children from the community. The theme for the week is Joy of Jesus! Everywhere! All the Time! We will focus on serving Latino Children who have completed grades 3 and 4, and the lessons will be taught in English. We need your help: we need volunteer groups to prepare enough bag dinners, to feed about 35 children and VBS leaders. We need assistant teachers and volunteers to help with crafts and music.
