Luncheon by the Morning Star Ringers Today Plan to stay for a Spaghetti Luncheon provided by our Morning Star Ringers today after our worship service. The meal will include spaghetti, salad, desserts and drinks. The luncheon is free, and if you would like to make a donation for the meal the proceeds from this luncheon will go to the Morning Star Ringers’ upcoming Handbell Trip where they will play at our Moravian churches in California. June Newsletters Are Available Our June Newsletters are available for those who pick up their newsletter at the church. They are in your mailboxes located across from the History Room. Sewing Group – This Thursday The Sewing Group is meeting this Thursday at 1:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. We are making lap quilts for the shut-ins. No experience is needed, come join the fellowship. Senior Friends – Wednesday, June 15th The Senior Friends will gather on Wednesday, June 15th, beginning at 10:30 AM to enjoy a musical program by Vic Conrad. Women’s Bible Study – Tuesday, June 21st, 7:00 PM Our Women’s Bible Study will be Tuesday, June 21st, at 7:00 PM in the Church Parlor. We will be discussing Chapter 17 on "Job's Wife, The Proverbs 31 Woman, The Song of Songs Lover, and Gomer". Please plan to join us! New Prayer Chain has Started! Once again, we have a Prayer Chain at Olivet. Nineteen (19) people have volunteered to participate, but you can be added if for some reason you did not sign up earlier, (see Pastor Matthew). This is how the prayer chain works. If you or someone you know would like to be prayed for, call Naomi Algood or Pastor Matthew. That person’s name will be passed down the list of people on the Prayer Chain and they will be prayed for. If a person wants to be added to the Prayer List in the bulletin or newsletter and be announced in church, please contact Pastor Matthew or the church office. Congregational Care Team Forming We are forming a Congregational Care Team to help better meet the needs of our congregation. Examples are making sure people have food when they are sick and/or return home from the hospital, care packages for college students, cheer baskets for shut-ins, sending cards, doing something when a church member’s close relative dies, etc. If you would like to participate in this new and important ministry, please see Pastor Matthew. June Missions – Item of the Month The Missions Committee collection for June will be any type of canned goods for the Lewisville Community Assistance Program (LCAP), a partnership between churches of various denominations in the Lewisville area and Second Harvest Food Bank. Items will be collected through Sunday, June 26th.
