Women’s Bible Study – This Tuesday, June 9th Our Women’s Bible Study will be this Tuesday, January 9th, at 7:00 PM in the Church Parlor. We will be discussing Rahab. Please make plans to join us. Salem Band -- This Tuesday, June 9th, 7:30 PM, -- "Cowboys Concert” Salem Band will present its "Cowboys Concert” this Tuesday, June 9th, 7:30 PM on the Salem Square. Be one of the first to arrive and receive your free Salem Band Schedule Fan to stay cool! Get your child’s photo taken with horse and rider in costume from Silverlin Farms! FREE and open to the public. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Hot dogs, drinks and gelato available for purchase. Rain date is August 18th. www.salemband.org Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Training -- Continues This Week The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office will continue to use our church grounds & facilities to conduct daytime law enforcement training sessions this Tuesday and Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM. If you must come to the church during training times, please park nearest to the office side door (shopping center side) and enter that same side door to go to the office. Workday at Church -- This Saturday, 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM This Saturday, June 13th, 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM, there will be a workday at church to fix some windows and chairs. CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR GRADUATES We congratulate the following people from our church family who are graduating this year or have graduated since last year’s Graduate Sunday.

Matthew Steven Hauser Matthew graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Technology from Western Carolina University. He is the son of Steve and Julie Hauser, and the grandson of Dorothy Edwards and the late Kenneth Edwards.

HIGH SCHOOL Landry Phillip Bohn Landry graduated from Salem Baptist Christian School. He plans to attend University of North Carolina Asheville to pursue a degree in religious studies. Landry is the son of Phillip and Andrea Bohn.

Joshua (Josh) Michael Jacobius Josh graduated from Reagan High School. He plans to attend Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York and major in Photography, Cinematography and Film. Josh is the son of Dave and Kelly Jacobius.

COLLEGE AND GRADUATE SCHOOL David Alexander Angell David graduated Summa Cum Laude with high honors and the Dean' Undergraduate Award with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Production & Recording Technology from Shenandoah University. He will be working for a recording studio in Boyce, Virginia and will be applying for a position in the Marine Band. David is the son of John and Cynthia Angell.

Rachel Michelle Desmarais Rachel receives her Ph.D. in Instructional Design and Technology from Old Dominion University. Rachel’s husband is John Desmarais.

Lauren Michelle Hughes Lauren graduated from Duke University School of Nursing in December 2014, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is working as an RN at Duke Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Lauren is the daughter of Bryan and Tammy Hughes. Brooke Hannah Ridings Brooke received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Appalachian State University. She plans to attend Graduate School to get her Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and she would like to work with children with communication disorders. Brooke is the daughter of Mike and Janet Ridings. Mackenzie Faith Slater Mackenzie received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Spanish from Roanoke College. She plans to attend Graduate School at Virginia Commonwealth University to get her Master in Social Work. She is the daughter of Louie N. (Junior) Slater and the late Tammy Slater and granddaughter of Sandra Reich and the late Bill Reich. Julie Ryanne Swaim Julie graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing. She will work in the General ICU at Sentara CarePlex in Hampton, VA. She is the daughter of Jay and Kim Flippin and Jeff Swaim and Nicole Rea.


Morning Star Ringers at King Moravian Church Next Sunday, June 14, 3:00 PM Our Morning Star Ringers will play at King Moravian Church next Sunday, June 14, at 3:00 PM. The Morning Star Ringers consists of young people from grades 8 through 12. Their program will include a variety of music from Moravian hymns to praise songs to even a couple of Disney songs along with some group singing and audience participation. For the past several years the Morning Star Ringers have traveled to several of our Moravian churches throughout the country. Recent trips have been to Florida, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio and even California. This summer the group’s Handbell Trip will be to play in some of our Moravian churches in Ohio, Wisconsin and Indiana. It is a free program, and there will be a love offering received which will go to the Morning Star Ringers’ upcoming trip. The King Moravian Youth will be hosting an Ice Cream Social following the event. Tommy Cole’s Retirement Reception Next Sunday, June 14, 2:30-4:30 PM Next Sunday, June 14th, there will be a Retirement Reception for Tommy Cole to honor his service to Sunnyside and wish him well as he enters the next chapter of his life. There will be a band prelude beginning at 2:00 PM with reception to follow at 2:30 - 4:30 PM. Presentations and remarks will be made at 3:15 PM. The reception will be held at Trinity Moravian Church.
