Mission Project – CROP Walk Today Our Mission Project for the month is the CROP Walk today. All of the money raised from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County CROP Hunger Walk is used to support hunger alleviation programs. For those participating in the CROP Walk today … we will leave the church between 12:30-12:45 PM and get lunch at a fast food restaurant before going to Corpening Plaza downtown. The walk begins at 2:30 PM, it’s about two miles long and usually takes an hour. We will stop at Dairi-O in Clemmons for ice cream on the way back to the church
Senior Friends – This Wednesday The Senior Friends will meet at 10:30 AM this Wednesday, October 18th to enjoy fellowship and a light lunch. Please sign up on the Senior Friends’ Bulletin Board outside of the Library, so we will know how many to prepare lunch for. Newsletter Deadline – This Friday, October 20th If you have information for the November newsletter please have it in the church office no later than this Friday, October 20th. Please type your information in Arial, 10 font. If your information is not on time, it will be added to the next month’s newsletter. Blood Drive – This Saturday Olivet’s Blood Drive will be this Saturday, October 21st, 8:30A-1:00P. Trunk or Treat Carnival and Free Chicken Stew and Hot Dog Supper Sunday October 29th, 5:00-7:00 PM Our Senior Highs and Middle Highs invite all the children of the church and friends to come on Sunday, October 29th, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Enjoy the Trunk or Treat, where many of our members will decorate their vehicle trunks and offer a treat to all that stop by. We will have fun games and activities for all ages! Please come out for a fun evening of Trunk or Treat and Free Chicken Stew and Hot Dog Supper! If you are interested in participating in our Trunk or Treat contact Andrea Bohn (bohnaw@wfu.edu) or the church office. You don’t have to make your vehicle trunk an elaborate display, just make sure it’s kidfriendly and non-scary. Make sure you have plenty of candy available for the trickor-treaters that walk by.
