Hayn I am Jesus’ little lamb; Ever glad at heart I am; For my Shepherd gently guides me, Knows my need and well provides me, Loves me ev’ry day the same, Even calls me by my name.
Lovefeast in Honor of Children In Celebration of the Children’s Festival of the Moravian Church
Olivet Moravian Church September 18, 2016 Band Prelude
Day by day, at home, away, Jesus is my staff and stay. When I hunger, Jesus feeds me, Into pleasant pastures leads me; When I thirst, He bids me go Where the quiet waters flow.
Chiming of the Hour Call to Worship
Worship, Honor, Glory, Blessing
Cassel (167 A) Crusaders
Fairest Lord Jesus, Ruler of all nature, O Thou of God and man the Son, Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor, Thou, my soul’s glory, joy, and crown.
Who is happy as I am; Even now the shepherd’s lamb? And when my short life is ended, By His angel host attended, He shall fold me to His breast, There within His arms to rest. Children’s Message

Susanna’s Story
Rev. Allen
Fair are the meadows, fairer still the woodlands, Robed in the blooming garb of spring; Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer, Who makes the woeful heart to sing. Fair is the sunshine, fairer still the moonlight, And all the twinkling starry host; Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer Than all the angels heaven can boast.
Diademata (595 C) Now in the days of youth, when life flows fresh and free, Thou Lord of all our hearts and lives, we give ourselves to Thee; Our fervent gift receive, and fit us to fulfill, Through all our days, in all our ways, our Heavenly Father’s will. Teach us wher-e’er we live to act as in Thy sight, And do what Thou wouldst have us do with radiant delight; Not choosing what is great, nor spurning what is small, But take, as from Thy hands, our tasks and glorify them all.
(Serving of Lovefeast) Jesus makes my heart rejoice I’m His sheep and know His voice; He’s a Shepherd, kind and gracious, And His pastures are delicious, Constant love to me He knows, Yea, my very name He knows.
Benediction and Choral Amen Processional on Praise to the Lord the Almighty
Prayer, Welcome and Announcements Please pass the friendship pads both ways in the pew. Visitors please include your name, address, and phone number.
Hayn (82 D)
Spirit of Christ, do Thou our first bright days inspire, That we may live the life of love and loftiest desire And be by Thee prepared for larger years to come And for the life ineffable within the Father’s home.
Postlude
Beautiful Savior! Lord of all the nations! Son of God and Son of Man! Glory and honor, praise, adoration, Now and forever more be Thine.
C Christiansen
(Over)
Moravian Blessing: Come, Lord Jesus, our Guest to be and bless these gifts bestowed by thee. Bless Thy dear ones everywhere and keep them in Thy loving care. Amen.
Trusting His mild staff always, I go in and out in peace; He will feed me with the treasure Of His grace in richest measure; When athirst to Him I cry, Living water He’ll supply.
Anthems We Can Share His Love Children, Close by Jesus Stay
Should not I for gladness leap, Led by Jesus as His sheep? For when these blest days are over, To the arms of my dear Saviour I shall be conveyed to rest Amen, yea, my lot is blest.

OLIVET MORAVIAN CHURCH September 18, 2016 Ministers: All Who Serve Jesus We welcome you to our service today. If you are looking for a church home, we hope you will consider being a part of our church. If you would like to join our church or want more information about it, please call our church office at 336.924.8063. We thank Mr. Andrew René for filling in while our Organist, Mr. Fred Wood is away. We hope you experience God’s blessing in your time with us today and throughout this week. We also hope you will return and worship with us again. The Children’s Lovefeast In August we celebrated the August 13th Festival of the Moravian Church as we remembered the spiritual renewal event of the early Moravians on August 13, 1727 in the community of Herrnhut, Germany. The blessing of that event over 280 years ago also poured out upon the children. Many of the children of Herrnhut also experienced a time of spiritual renewal in their lives which some Moravian churches observe a special Children’s Festival. At Olivet we have our Children’s Sunday as a time to celebrate how our children and youth are a special part of our church family and how they are able to experience the Lord through the ministry of this church. As with many of our celebrations, we share the Moravian tradition of a lovefeast.
