Hi Jamie thanks for answering a couple questions for us, firstly I guess I got to ask, you got so close to reaching the first round proper of the FA Cup. How do you feel knowing you were so close and what’s the moral of the team? Getting so close was heartbreaking for the lads , the gave everything but it wasn’t to be. Moral is still good around the dressing room and I’m sure we will bounce back strongly. You showed that you can bounce back from a heart-breaking match, as you beat Halesowen 3-0 last night did the manager say anything different compared to the FA Cup game? No he didn’t. Just to continue to work hard and get back to winning ways . You started your career at Rotherham United, do you keep an eye out for their results and how do you think their season in the championship has gone so far? Absolutly, it’s still a club close to my heart and I always keep a look out, the season this year has been poor and it hasn’t suprised me to see Alan
Stubbs get sacked. Your quiet the fan fav, do you think it’s important that the fans get behind players, and does it give you an extra boost of adrenaline when you hear them chanting? I feel it’s always important to appreciate the fans paying to watch non league football. They make clubs like ours so special. Where has been the best ground you have played at in your career? Hillsborough, Sheffield Wednesday Who has been the best player you have played with and why? Nigel Clough Burton Albion he has a top career and a great guy too. Then following on with that who has been the best player you have played against and why? Nick Barmby, he was a great example to young players and still had class. Besides Matlocks who has been the best manager you’ve worked under and do you think he made you the player today?
Mark Robins was my best coach, Bill Heath was my best manager. What is your life motto? Practise makes permanent. If you could play anywhere at any stadium against any team who would it be? Old Trafford vs Real Madrid. What goals have you set yourself for the season? To get into the play offs. I think we have the squad. How do you think the season has gone so far for Matlock? Very well, a slow start but I think we now have the right squad, the banter is fantastic. And where do you see them ending up come the end of the season? The play offs. If you could change one thing about your game what would it be? To score more goals. And finally if you weren’t a footballer what would you be and why? A coach. I currently manage the clubs academy which I enjoy immensely

Football
Vs Cancer
Cancer is something that will affect us all in one way shape or form. Over the years many people have formes charities to help beat cancer and 5 of those people decided to take cancer head on in a sport loved by so many. Thats right football. Thus AFC Macmillan was born.
AFC Macmillan were formed in June 2016 by five friends; Michael Malone, Tina Morris, Martin Morris, Wayne Foster & Robson O'Reardon. All of us are Luton Town FC fans. We set up the club with the intention of raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support and after a meeting with Macmillan representatives in July 2016, we received their full backing to raise money for them. To date, we’ve raised over £1,000 through one fundraiser & are looking to continue doing so for some time. 20 @ATTTNL A Trip To The NOn League
As well as raising money for Macmillan, we will also be doing a one off match for an alternative fundraiser each year. The charity is Fly2Help. They give people with disabilities the dream of flying in a light aircraft. My best friend, and friend of the committee members at AFC Macmillan Tom Close, passed away in May 2015. He helped Fly2Help before he passed away and was a huge supporter of everything they do, so in his memory we’ve organise a yearly match against a few of his mates to raise money for them. You can find us on Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook & the ‘Club App’ which can be found on the iOS App Store & the android store for free! We’d love to hear from people regarding their experiences with cancer and would be happy to hear their support for us.
Famous Following a few celebrity followers and we've appeared on tv promoting AFC Macmillan three times & on radio once. The Celeb names include; Justin Lee Collins (comedian) Steve Sidwell (Footballer) Jack Marriott (Footballer) Tish (Vine and viral video star.... ‘I’m in me mums car) Numerous luton town FC players

Poole Town East Thurrock
1 1
A Trip To The Non League had made the decision to support and feature a selected team from the non league and after a couplle weeks of looking for a club we have decided to go with Essex outfits East Thurrock, who are members of the Vanarama National League South and play at FutureFuel Stadium
ATTTNL MOTM Sam Higgins
26 @ATTTNL A Trip To The NOn League
East Thurrock were in action the otherday when they made the trip to Poole Town in a game which ended up being a 1-1 draw and a good point for the team from Essexs. East Thurrock now go 8th in the league after a good hard open match, And are now 5 games unbeaten.
A fantastic solo goal by Luke Roberts was cancelled out by a scrappy equaliser late on, but East Thurrock United were well worth the point they took away from Tatnam. Whilst neither keeper really made any significant saves during the match, it was an open match with chances at both ends throughout. Sam Surridge looked to continue his fine form as he started for the second successive game, but was unable to contribute another goal or assist in this closely fought affair. It would be Luke Roberts who would collect the ball from just outside the penalty area, before dribbiling around his nearest opponent and firing past Lukas Lidakevicius to open the scores. It must be noted that a fine example of the advantage rule was showcased as match official Ian Fissenden waved Poole on after Joe Ellul’s strong foul on Marvin Brooks, leaving a large gap at the back for Roberts to exploit. There was further punishment for the away side’s skipper as the referee booked him after the goal. After the opener, neither side truly threatened before the break, after which, it looked like it
would be the away side that would score the next goal. And whilst they eventually did, the Dolphins had a golden opportunity to kill the game when Abdulai Baggie broke forward with multiple men in support. Instead of teeing up either Ryan Case or Luke Burbidge to his right, Baggie decided to use the space he had created for himself to test Lidakevicus – who saved well with his feet. Golden opportunities weren’t sparse at the other end – the Rocks burned through on multiple occasions as Poole’s defence switched off at vital times. James Walker could have equalised early on in the second half, but somehow missed the target from close range, but he was only one of a handful of East Thurrock players that were missing their shooting boots. In the end, the away side would receive their well earn’t equaliser. Substitute Sam Higgins reacting quickest to the ball in the box after Poole failed to deal with a corner – Poole’s slow reaction allowing the forward to fire home. Next up for East Thurrock is a home game against Maidenhead United. A Trip To The Non League @ATTTNL 27

ATTTNL SITS Down With
Boston United’s
Jay Rollins Jay Rollins is well and truely the man in the moment at Boston United having scored 5 goals this season and sitting top of Boston’s top goalscorer table. Boston fans have defiantly got a game changing player on there hands, with his quick pace and eye for goal, Rollins is sure to be a vital player this season for The Pilgrams. ATTTNL sat down with Rollins recently to talk about Boston, Construction and Camp Nou.
38 @ATTTNL A Trip To The NOn League
Hi Jay thanks for agreing to answering a few questions for ATTTNL. Firstly I guess I got to talk about the Salford game a good result, but do you feel it was more points droped then a point won, and what was the moral of everyone afterwards? Before the game we said a point away at Salford would be a good result but going in at half time 2-1 up we felt we should of taken the 3 points so I’d say it’s more points dropped than won. Talking about the Salford game that was your 6th league game unbeaten, something must be going right, do you feel the squad has gotten closer as the season has gone on? Yes since the start of the season id say there more togetherness. It was always going to be tough at the start with so many new players coming into the team but I think we’ve progressed since then. Your quiet the fan fav, do you think it’s important that the fans get behind players, and does it give you an extra boost of adrenaline when you hear them chanting? Yes I believe the fans play a massive part. Having them get behind the the team during games gives everyone that extra boots to keep going, especially games where you might not be having the best performance.
4) You’re the top goal scorer on 5 this season alongside Gregg Smith, who do you think will score more goals come the end of the season? It’s good to be amongst the goals alongside Gregg because it gives us a friendly competition between each other to want to get more. I hope it would be me that finished higher but as long as were both helping the team out that’s the main thing. 5)Where has the best ground you have played at in your career? I haven’t played in any big grounds in my time so I would have to say boston united ground or Stockport county just because of the atmosphere. 6)Who has been the best player you’ve played with and why? It would have to be dayle southwell because of the way he can read the game and get into certain positions to score goals which he did many times when I was playing with him. Carrying on with the previous question who has been the best player you’ve had played against and why? I would have to say James coppinger because of his technical ability and the way he can read the game and be one step ahead of everyone. If you could play in any sta-
dium against any team who would it be? It would have to be camp nou I think any footballer would love to play there. 9)You’re currently mid table at the moment do you think the squad has what it takes to go up? I do believe we can go higher, we have the ability in the team as well as players coming back from injuries and when they do I think it will bring more to strength to the squad to give us that chance. 10)Carrying on from that how do you think the season has gone so far and what goals have you set yourself for the future? I think the seasons going well for me so far as I’m getting amongst he goals which I set for myself and my future goal Is to step up higher. If you could change one thing about your game what would it be? I would say my Aerial ability around goal. It’s not expected with my size but if it was something I had in my game it could help. And finally if you were not a footballer what would you be doing? I imagine I would be doing something within in construction.
