Top!tips!for!making!your!own!skin! exfoliant!for!that!radiant,!more!youthful! look Oat!&!Nut!Scrub 2 teaspoon fine oatmeal 2 teaspoons of ground almonds Rose water Gram!Flour!&!Yogurt!Scrub!Mask 2 teaspoons of gram flour 1 tablespoon natural yogurt 1 teaspoon raw semolina Apple juice (normal skin) & Lemon juice (oily skin) to blend

Mix all ingredients together to form a smooth paste. Gently massage the scrub into the face using circular upward strokes, avoiding delicate skin under the eyes. Leave on the face as a mask for five minutes. When it begins to dry, wipe off with damp muslin cloth, rinse face in warm water and pat dry with a soft towel. Rose water makes an excellent toner to finish. Apply with upward, sweeping movements on a cotton pad.

Born in Jakarta, Indonesia , Liana holds a diploma from C.i.D.E.S.C.O. the worlds leading training organisation for beauty therapy. She studied in one of Singapore’s most prestigious beauty Colleges and, after achieving her diploma, went on to learn Javanese Deep Tissue Massage. Her study and practice cover a high level of practical and theoretical techniques allowing Liana to offer: • • • • • •

Meditation!for!healing Free!at!OMH Sadna!Sodha

Tuesday!Evenings Classes!!6:30pm!-!7:45pm Free!class,!with!charitable!donations! welcome.

Group Meditation with a focus on health & healing & discussion takes place at OMH therapies every Tuesday Night from 6.30 pm. These are free sessions with an informal feel suitable for all ages and those new to meditation. Participants are encouraged to contribute in whatever way they feel comfortable. Bring a blanket of yoga mat to sit/lie on and where comfortable clothes without any restrictions.

Why Meditate? Meditation has always been held in high esteem by yogis, Ayurvedic practitioners and buddhists alike, known for its health and healing capabilities. It is a useful tool to learn to master especially for anyone that struggles to cope with chronic illness that cause pain and discomfort or an medical condition and in most cases can have a positive influence on mind, body and spirit. Silent contemplation allows the body time to heal, repair and replenish itself. Meditation can help manage and reduce anxiety and stress levels which in turn can cause positive physical changes within the body. It focuses your body's natural healing energies and can be used as a positive catalyst for change during even serious illness.

Take a deep breath... • Find a quiet space, free from distractions • Dim the lights • Soothing background music may help, especially for beginners • Sit in a comfortable, supportive position, or lie down • Take a deep breath from the core of your stomach and let it out gently. Repeat three times, each time more deeply. This allows the body to relax completely. • Visualise a candle flame in the space between your eyebrows. Concentrate on the image of the flame, it's shape, height and colours. This will help random or distracting thoughts to fall away

How!does!it!work? It is not easy to learn to meditate successfully and it is said that even the most proficient of people such as the Dali Lama may sometimes struggle to reach the bliss state. Group meditations are a good place to start the practice. Guided imagery can help you create

mental pictures in response to another person’s instructions and can assist you in learning and grasping a way that works for you. Meditation can be used to enhance creativity, treat headaches and even improve athletic performance

German’s!Bathing!tips!for!Health!&!Vitality….. Hydrotherapy!shower Make sure the bathroom is warm and you have plenty of warm towels or a robe to wear when you are finished. Begin showering for 2-3 minutes in warm- hot water. Turn around and make sure all your body is covered. Now turn the water to cold and cover entire body in cold water for 30 secs. Try to breath normally as if you hold your breath you cause contraction in the muscles. Turn the water back to warm for 2 -3 minutes, then repeat to cold for further 30 secs. Repeat this process once more finishing in cold water and make sure the cold water reaches the face too as it helps encourage a good complexion. Wrap yourself in warm towels. Pat yourself dry and put on a warm robe and allow yourself time to sit or lie down for at least 10 – 15 minutes.
