welcome to your
MERMAID PARTY
introduction
Some girls dream of the enchanting life of a mermaid--
swimming in the water and searching for seashells all day or hanging out with other mermaid friends and enjoying the sun. You don’t need to live under the sea to create your own aquatic adventure. This party has it all. And with our simple adaptations, you won’t even need a beach. All of these activities can be adjusted for your little mermaid to celebrate in your own backyard, at a park, or even in a living room. A whole party full of fun-in-the-sun activities awaits so pull out the sunglasses and get ready to make some waves.
I’m sure you’ve guessed by now, but our favorite thing about parties is teaching you how to re-create every party that we do. Our parties have been photographed in great detail to show you our process so that you can have this same party yourself. We’ve done all of the hard work already so you can pull off a showstopper with minimal effort. Feel free to use our party ideas, but remember to play nice. This PDF is for personal use only.

printing invitations
Come make a splash at a party under the sea.
Get young party guests excited from the start with these enchanting invitations. Print on bright white matte photo or brochure paper from an office supply store (please be sure to print with the highest quality settings--we can’t stress this enough). Pair them with the perfect purple envelope in size A7. The stamps we used are from the Nature of America: Kelp Forest collection and are available from the USPS or eBay.com. For a cool invite, place the invitation inside a blue cellophane bag. Add some sand and seashells to the bottom then tie it all up with a small shell that has your guest’s name written on it. We’ve also included some thank you cards to send to your guests after the party is over. These cards fit a size A2 envelope. We left them blank to write whatever you’d like or to use anywhere else in this party where you need an extra tag.

cake and cupcakes
A magical cake doesn’t have to be complicated.
Add a simple Happy Birthday tag (available in the printables section) to the front and you’re ready to go. Our 6 inch cake is just the right size for the birthday girl to blow out her candles and share with any adults attending the party. For her friends and party guests, there are two cupcake options available.
queen of the sea crown Supplies: all 3 pages of the crown and “Queen of the Sea” tag (available in the printables section), white school glue, tinsel glitter, small rhinestones, pink or purple crepe paper streamers, hot glue gun, embellishments--such as mini starfish, decorative seaweed, bits of netting, etc. Directions: 1. Print all three pages of the crown and the “Queen of the Sea” tag onto white cardstock or other thick paper. 2. Carefully cut out the crown and glue together as indicated. 3. Glue small jewels onto the crown. 4. Spread a thin line of white glue onto the bottom and top of the crown and sprinkle with tinsel glitter. 5. Remove the excess glitter and let the crown dry. 6. Make a crepe paper rosette and hot glue it onto the front of the crown. 7. Embellish the rosette with mini starfish, decorative seaweed, and bits of netting and hot glue onto the crown. 8. Cut out, fold and glue the “Queen of the Sea” tag onto the crown, in front of the embellishments. 9. To finish the crown, glue the two back parts of the crown together.
Wave goodbye!
