I’m sure you’ve guessed by now, but our favorite thing about parties is teaching you how to re-create every party that we do. Our parties have been photographed in great detail to show you our process so that you can have this same party yourself. We’ve done all of the hard work already so you can pull off a showstopper with minimal effort. Feel free to use our party ideas, but remember to play nice. This PDF is for personal use only. Design & styling by Sara Westbrook and Brittany Egbert. Photography by Nicole Hill Gerulat.

printing invitations
Everything glam is the name of the game with this pink
and black party, of course with a huge dose of glitz thrown in. Starting with the invitations. These invitations and thank you cards are printed on bright white matte photo or brochure paper from an office supply store. Be sure to use the highest quality settings on your printer. Check your local stationary store or paper-source.com for pink envelopes. To add even more flair, glitter the invites (instructions follow) and tuck a few fashionable feathers into the envelope to hint at what’s in store at the party. Remember to include some classic stamps for postage. Ours are from the Legends of Hollywood: Audrey Hepburn, American Photography, and American Film Making collections, all via the U. S. postal series. But these can often be found on eBay. For a cool invite that can be hand delivered, include a satin sleeping mask and a candy treat.

Supplies: glue, glitter, a piece of scrap paper
Directions: Make a long line of glue on a piece of scrap paper. Dip an edge of the invitation into the glue. Then shake a generous amount of coarse glitter onto the gluey edge. Note: a fine glitter will show every glue drip detail, which is why we recommend an inexpensive coarse glitter. Tap the invitation to remove any excess. For the invitation we glittered all four sides; for the thank you we glittered only the bottom edge. If you catch the extra glitter onto the scrap paper, you can funnel the glitter back into the container to reuse.
the cake
A bejeweled cake is a must. This 9” cake sits on a 10 1/2” black cake stand
(ours is Roccoco Noir by Rosanna). The frosting is pink fondant and we accented it with a string of rhinestones. You can find rhinestones at craft stores such as Joanne’s. Another alternative would be to use a faux jewel or pearl necklace. This sparkler birthday candle is available at party supply stores. To top the cake we use acrylic diamonds. The largest diamond shown is 2 1/2”. Acrylic jewels are available at craft stores and at www.allstarco.com.
sparkly cupcakes
Supplies: toppers page printed out, 2 scalloped paper punch, sticky backed rhinestones, flat-ended toothpicks, luster dust, a fork Directions: Print the cupcake toppers in the printables section onto bright white cardstock. Cut out the circles with a 2 scalloped paper punch, available at craft stores. Stick a rhinestone onto the top of the circle as an embellishment (see picture). Tape the topper circle onto a flat-ended toothpick or other stick of your choice. After your cupcakes are baked and frosted, sprinkle some luster dust on top to make them sparkle. Dip a fork into the bottle of luster dust and gently distribute in onto the cupcake. Add a cupcake topper to finish it off. These bright pink foil cupcake liners are from Cupcake Confessional www.etsy.com/shop/CupcakeConfessional.
If your little guests need help cutting their food, use a pizza cutter instead of a knife and fork to speed up the process.
take home favors
Send party guests home with their purse, jewels, and
flashlight from the diamond hunt and any other prizes they might have received. A few more items you might like to include are: a cute toothbrush, a pillowcase, a necklace, fingernail polish, lip-gloss, lotion, or some candy.
