Onehunga Business Winter Promotion Competition runs from mid July to end of August
We are currently putting together a winter promotion for Onehunga businesses to generate foot traffic in Onehunga. At this stage, the promotion will be a competition where if a customer spends $10 they are able to enter the draw to win a trip for two to a tropical island – every business will have an entry box and entry forms. You will need to attach the sales doc to each entry. We are thinking of not doing the Heritage Festival in September this year and instead putting some of the budget towards this promotion – we may have two trips to be won etc. We invite you to get involved in the additional prize draws that include gifts and packages from Onehunga businesses. We welcome partnerships between businesses – perhaps a hair salon could collaborate with a nail bar to offer a special package for example. Businesses that donate gifts and packages will be part of marketing campaign which includes radio. If interested, please call us on 636 8535.
Signage To Prevent Store Theft A professional sign can act as a deterrent
When it comes to apprehending offenders in-store, it’s important to understand what rights you have. Retailers have no legal right to prevent a suspected theft from leaving a store nor can you touch or restrain them—such actions can escalate a situation and increase your own risk. However, you are permitted to impose conditions of entry, like bag checks. Adequately signposted these can act as a deterrent and prevent suspected thieves from returning. The New Zealand Retailers Association has a range of security signs available for use in store. Signs cost $2 each or four for $6(exc. GST).
